I sighed, just as I felt a tap at my shoulder. I whirled around. "Oh, Hello," I said, flashing the boy from District 1 a smile. "Hello, love," he said in an alluring voice, a voice that made my heart flutter. "I'm Harry, and you?"
"Addy" I said, sending him an even bigger smile. I guess since he was flirting, I had a right to flirt back. "What District are you from?" I asked, of course already knowing.
"District 1," he said simply. "Oh, I see, the flirts come from there. I've heard alot about them." I said jokingly, then laughed. "I'm from 3."
"Isn't that the farmers?" He asked sarcastically. I really hope he wasn't knocking my District, or we would have a problem. I nodded my head, "I'm not ashamed of where i'm from, I love farming!" I said. I could see him studying my face. "Plus, I'm a good runner, so I can get away from people like you!" I joked, hoping it would take his mind of my features for 5 seconds.
"Ouch, that hurt," he said, holding his hands to his heart. What a joker. I pouted, "I'm sorry," I couldn't help but smile as I said it. I was totally not sorry for his fake heartache. This guy was a handful, but I liked him.
"It's a good thing you're pretty." He said, looking at my eyes. "I think not. But thanks." I said simply before he added, "You're welcome." Cheeky cheeky cheeky.
"Hey don't look now, but that boy is staring at you." Not unusual, but I turned around anyways. Louis was looking at me, pure lust in his eyes. I wonder where he was last night? Not like it mattered, I was over it. I turned back to Harry "That's just Louis. He's probably judging you harshly." I knew it was true, I had been talking to him, for, what, three years now?
I could see a flash of anger in his green eyes. "So lets talk strategy," he said suddenly. "How about you and I start an alliance, to keep each other safe? Or, at least, keep each other company?" I thought about it for a moment. Being in an alliance with a sneaky flirt like him could have its benefits. But I had to have Louis in my alliance. If I was going to die, It was going to be with him.
"That sounds reasonable," I said before looking back at Louis. "Can I invite him? He's like, my bestfriend." My only friend, for that matter.
He huffed. Was he jealous of Louis? "Sure." He said. I did a mini dance before running off to Louis. He was glaring at Harry harshly. Was he jealous of Harry? What is going on here?
"Hey, Louis!" I said, skipping over to him. "Addy!" He said, engulfing me in a huge hug. I laughed, butterflies filling my stomach once again. What was up with these mixed feelings? "Louis, let go!" I squeeled, still laughing. "I have something important to ask you." A hopeful look filled his eyes. "What is it, Addy?"
"So I just met this guy from District 1, Harry, and he wanted to start an alliance. But I told him I wanted you to be with me so..." The hope was quickly filled with dissapointment, then anger. I poked him in the side with my elbow, knowing it was his sensitive spot. "So what do you think? You wanna join us?" I asked hopefully.
"Sure" He said, taking a deep breath. I could tell he was pissed. But what for? Harry was a nice enough guy. I didn't understand either of them. "Can I meet him, so mainly you won't get into any trouble?" I laughed, at least he could make a joke out of it. He knew I hated when people were so serious. I slapped him slightly on the arm, "Don't get all protective on me, Mr. Tommo"
I slipped my arm through his. "But I guess its nessecary." I said before skipping over to Harry. I don't know what was wrong with Louis, because he didn't even skip with me. I pushed him in front of Harry, looking at them both expectantly. Harry was the first to hold out his hand, "Harry" He said gruffly, before Louis grabbed his hand. "Louis."
They both sat there for a while, both of them looking extremely pissed off. I didn't know what to do, so I awkwardly coughed to break the silence. Both of them pulled back, Louis wiping his hand on the side of his pants.
I was contemplating just leaving them both while they were glaring at each other. What was up?
