Prologue

The guy took something inside his jacket's pocket — a lollipop atsaka ito binuksan at kinain — No — dahan-dahang sinubo mismo sa harap ko. Napalunok ako dahil sa ginawa niya, this b/tch literally had the nerve to remind me what he did to me that night.

But I shrugged the thought off and I offered my hand to him and he gladly took it. I want this day to end already. But it's still lunch time.

And I have to spend the rest of this break showing him around the campus.

Ugh.

Bigla namang nagring ang phone ko so I answered it, "Hey babe?" It was Louise.

"I'll be having lunch outside with my friends, if you're not going."

She's been bugging me lately na kumain sa isang restaurant pero hindi ako makaset ng appointment dahil sa schedule ko at idagdag mo pa na sumulpot pa 'tong pabigat sa likod ko. Napatingin naman ako sa kay Elle na 'to na abala sa pagsubo ng lollipop. I stared at him and then went back to my phone.

"Louise, babe I'm really sorry—" before I could even say sorry she already ended the call kaya napailing na lamang ako.

"Your girlfriend?" Asked Elle.

"It's none of your business." Naglakad na ako at sumunod naman ito sa akin.

I started showing him the whole campus and during the orientation, hindi ito nakikinig sa akin. He was busy fiddling with his hair and sucking his lollipop. "That's the school's cafeteria, we have two cafeteria's here, that one's a restaurant meanwhile yung is naman— are you even listening?" Sigaw ko sa kaniya dahil kung saan-saan ang mga mata nito nakatingin. He wasn't even looking at me or even paying attention to me!

"Yes." He just shrugged his shoulders at me and waggled his brows.

Binalik ko nalang ang pag-i-introduce sa kaniya. "The other part of the cafeteria is napapalibutan ng mga kiosks and alfrescos." And I started walking again and when we arrived in front of the school's gymnasium, I showed him the school's covered court and its adjacent gymnasium.

Suddenly he asked me, "What's your girlfriend's name?" He was still sucking his lollipop. "Was it Louise?" Tanong nito sa akin. I glared at him.

"Why? You're going to take her from me—" he stopped me halfway with his finger, and gave me a scornful smirk. It made me taut at him.

"Mister Montemayor you must be mistaken." Natatawa nitong sinagot sa akin. "I'm not interested with her, in fact I have someone in mind." He took his lollipop and used it to point at me. I just gave him a tsk.

I already know what he's trying to tell me. And I am not interested with him.

"I am straight." I answered and I heard him scoff.

"Are you sure? Didn't you just fvck me—" before he could continue I pulled him at dinala ito sa likod ng gymnasium. Out of impulse, I pinned him to the wall at tiningnan siya ng diretso sa kaniyang mga mata.

But I was taken aback by how his hazel brown eyes stared at me. He doesn't have any feelings at all. There was nothing in his eyes, may it be fear or nervousness sa sitwasyon naming dalawa ngayon. Wala akong nakikita.

He was just looking at me — right through me. Kaya napakisap mata ako nang 'di oras.

"Don't you dare tell anyone about it." Was the only threat I gave to him.

Nakita ko naman itong ngumisi, "And what if I ..." he trailed off atsaka linuwa ang sinusubo niyang lollipop. "Do?" He was still smirking.

Oh god, I'm gonna hate that face.

"You'll be damned." Babala ko sa kaniya.

"Montemayors sure have a way of their own." He chuckled. "You're famous right?" Tanong nito sa akin pero hindi ako sumagot sa kaniya.

"Well, that would be fun." He continued and started sucking his lollipop again — making that damn noise.

"And how would that be fun?" I tsked at him, habang nakasandal padin ang katawan nito sa likod ng pader ng gymnasium at nakalock ang kamay ko sa kaniya.

"Let's just say, I like stealing things." I tutted at him in disbelief. "And if I see something I like I go for it no matter what the consequences are." He retorted whilst sucking his lollipop.

Napakisap ako ng mga mata ko.

"I like stealing boyfriends."
