It had been 7 years since graduation happened and Liz still wasn't out of Roswell, and now her dreams seemed to be shattered around her.
Her dad was ill, so now she was having to take more control in the diner and with the alien convention approaching it was going to get a lot busier around here. Her fingers brushed against her bracelet. Liz looked down and smiled, it was hard not to see Max around but something had changed in him lately and she couldn't quite figure out what. 'None of your business remember' she muttered to herself.
The diner door jingled waking her from the thoughts. Liz looked up at the wall clock. "five minutes till closing" she sighed hoping whoever it was only wanted a milkshake to go.
Suddenly Liz closed her eyes and sharply inhaled, she felt the electric tingle running through her body, she didn't need to turn around to know who walked through the door.
"Max"
"Liz, I need your help"
Her eyes quickly snapped open as she spun around.
Max Evans was hunched over the counter in front of her sweaty, his knuckles all blooded and holding his side.
