Longest car ride of my life!

My eyes grew tired from looking out the dark tinted windows, the slight burning sensation rises up behind my eyes as I blinked slowly trying to keep them open during this painfully long ride. I always find long car rides to be oddly relaxing, Even though I couldn't stop my active mind thinking over the possible outcomes of when we arrive at the venue. How big will this place be anyway? I wonder how many people will be there to see them. Will it be more than the shocking amount of fans at the hotel?

My brain starts to hurt from all these thoughts, causing me to I feel a tiny twinge of anxiety build in my stomach. The radio is playing softly as I try to find something to keep myself entertained and redirect my thoughts from what awaits me at the venue. I start to pick at my nails. The faint music playing softly from the radio is the only form of comfort from my unnerving thoughts.

"Try to relax, okay love?" A Bradford accent spoke as I continued to pick at my nails like it was the most interesting thing on the planet. I huffed at his words, he knows exactly how much I hate his little nicknames he gives me.

"I am relaxed." I grumbled lowly glaring out the window again.

"No your not, I can practically smell it" Zayn said typing away on his phone. I turned to him giving him a confused look. Zayn didn't even bother to look at me to see I was confused with his statement.

"It's a Vampire thing, our senses exceeding almost any other animal on earth. We can not only sense someone's emotions, but sometimes we can smell them too. That's also something you'll experience after you've been awakened." Zayn said still tapping away on his phone. That kind of struck a nerve, it doesn't feel right, that I'll be sensing other persons emotions. I can't imagine what it would feel like, I don't know how I could possibly smell ones emotions too. And just the way he said 'that's also something you'll experience' that makes it all that more real. Theres just something about that that makes my gut flip. I mean what else is he saying ill experience after I'm awakened? Will it be painful? I'm sure I'll get overwhelmed with just being able to feel other peoples emotions let alone anything else that comes with being a vampire.

I crossed my leg over the other trying to get comfortable, accidentally brushing his leg in the process. Zayn paused momentarily glancing at my leg upon his before returning his attention back to his phone. What must he be doing on his phone that's so important? Shouldn't he be talking to me more about this vampire shit? For fucks sakes I'm about to be 'awakened' for the very first time and he can't even put down his phone and pay attention to me!. He's the one saying I smell of anxiety so why doesn't he try to help. I have questions, I want to know what will happen to me. All I know so far is that my powers will be easier to control, that's pretty much the only reason I'm agreeing to do this. As the minutes drag on I start to get more and more intolerant of Zayns lack of acknowledgment towards my growing discomfort. I lightly nudge his leg with my own to try to get his attention, but no such luck. I frown at him before giving him more of a harder nudge, one that's slowly verging on a kick.

"What" Zayn said flatly, but still not looking at me. I scoff at his rudeness and turn to face him, getting ready to give him a piece of my mind.

"What's your problem? Your too busy looking at your phone to see that I'm pretty much sweating balls over here about having to drink Liam's blood!." I explained yelling at him.

He looks up at me momentarily before returning to his phone. I stare at him in disbelief before he opens his mouth again.

"Talk to Niall about it." Zayn states blankly. I think about it for a second before I lean forward and peer around Zayn to find the Irishman fast asleep resting his head against the side window with his plump lips slightly parted as he breathes softly, and totally oblivious to my little argument with Zayn going on right beside him.
