Bloody Mess

Kate's POV

Everything was black and I hated it. I wanted to know what the fuck was going on around me but no, I just had to be knocked out. I know I was being carried and I could hear some talking around me. But it was all jumbled and far away. After trying to open my eyes I gave in and decided to fully embrace my unconscious state.

Masky's POV

As I carried Kate, I could feel her slightly move. For some reason it calmed me to know she wasn't fully unconscious.

Finally I had made it to the infirmary and found her bed. I tried my best to lay her down as gently as I could be I doubt I did it "gently enough" if Toby was here.

He had a soft side for Kate, I guess he knew her before Slender had introduced her to everyone. It just made me wonder how long he had known her. Not to mention how long Slender had been keeping her hidden. One thing for sure is that he made sure she was trained better than the proxy's. I was still impressed that she was able to defeat all of us. What was more impressive was that she did it without using her powers. Sure it hurt my pride that she won but she clearly deserved it. She proved herself not only to me or the Slenders but also to everyone here. It takes a lot of guts to agree to a stroke on your, what,  second day. Let alone finish the Proxy as well.

I wonder why she left the infirmary before she was fully healed. It obviously wasn't good for her and did more damage then not. But I got her back so I did what I needed to.

And with that I left and headed back to the training floor to get friendlier with one of the punching bags.

Toby's POV
I ran to Slender's office and barged I'm not caring to knock. Apparently Slendy was in the middle of talking to EJ but what I had to say was infinitely more important.
"Wha-" I cut off Slender
"N-No time! *tick* Kate sn-sun-snuck out of the re-rec-covery room and *tick* lost a-a sh-shit ton of blo-blood, M-M-Masky has *tick* her now and sh-sho-should be back i-in the *tick* infirmary!"
As I finished Slender sprang out of his chair and poofed out of the room.
"I-I hate w-when he d-does that." I huffed and then started running back to the infirmary again. All this running was getting irritating.

As predicted Slender was already by Kate's side by the time EJ and I made it to the infirmary. EJ then immediately went into doctor mode and started looking over Kate and her wounds. Other than some slight internal bleeding from not healing properly (I could have guess that from miss "I need to get up after only one day of resting even though I got riddled with bullet holes") and some stitches that needed to be fixed she seemed ok. Though it didn't explain the mass amount of blood that Masky and I found covering her room. That was something that apparently had no answer to. EJ just told us that we need to keep Kate in bed and under observation for a good while till either she's all good to go or till the bloody mystery happens again.

Slender then dismissed EJ and told Masky and I that he would watch over Kate for the time being. Apparently him and his brothers would be watching Kate for a while so that I could get some actual rest and catch up on the list of people I needed to kill. The missions I had slightly unintentionally if not kinda intentionally forgotten I needed to do while I watched over Kate. Thankfully Slender let it slide this time cause Kate was so important to him.

Masky and I walked out of the infirmary and I caught him looking back at Kate's bed a few times. I smiled under my mouth guard "Hey M-Masky."
Masky groaned,"What Toby?"
"You l-like Kate, d-don't you?"
"Toby, Fuck off." I laughed but I could see the red that coated the tips of his ears. He totally liked her. I was now going to make sure that they got together. That and make sure to give Masky hell for it as much as I could. One because Kate deserves to have someone care for her, and two because I enjoy making Masky's life hell.

A/N - damn I haven't posted in a while - sorry. I kinda got bored with the story and then life happened. But anyway hope you enjoyed the chapter
