That night while Persephone and Alaric were lost in their passion for each other. There was a lot going on in the small town of mystic falls that they didn't know, like of a start the Saltzman-Forbes kids had found an old box of things that belonged to their mother or that the old Mikaelson mansion, that had been vacant for a long time, was now occupied, by none other than the Mikaelson family.
At the Salvatore boarding school
Jace, Alec, Josie and Lizzie has just got off the phone with their parents for the night, they were all sitting on their mum's bed with an old box they found last week that belonged to their mum, in the last week since founding the box the kids have been fight with each other about whether or not they should open it.
The kids have always been very close, so to the stop all the arguing Alec told them that they all had to vote and majority rules. Thinking that they knew everything about their mum Jace, Alec and Lizzie voted to open the box, while Josie voted not to ,because she thought that if their mum wanted them to know what was in it she would of shown them it not hide it in the attic like it was private .
"Okay since mum and dad aren't coming back tonight I say we finally open this thing up" Lizzie said holding the box out for her brothers
"I agree sis let's crack this thing open" Jace said with a slight smirk grabbing the box from his little sister.
"I don't think we should open it, mum as always been upfront with us" Josie said wanting to try one more time sway her siblings to stop before they when to far, but watching as her brothers and sister got comfortable ready to open the box that could hold their mum most private things, she knew she lost the battle.
"It will be fine Josie, it's not like we are going to find out some big bad secret" Alec said to his little sister before giving his other siblings look that said 'grab her' bring her into their huddled as Jace started to pull open the old box
"It's just bits a piece and a couple of pictures" Alec said looking at the picture of this mum with he's biological father
"Mum looks really happy" Josie whispered as she looked at the same photo as Alec

"Hey be careful" Alec yelled at his brother worried about damaging their mums old pictures
"Hey this looks like an engagement ring" Lizzie said inspecting the ring only to find 'always and forever' engraved.
"Mum never said she was engaged once" Jace and Alec said at the same time ,but there it was an engagement ring now sitting in their hands.
