I remember a night where I couldn't sleep and my heart ached terribly while my throat closed up with tears. I picked up my tablet, needing to write something and this is what came out. Call it a song, call it a poem, call it whatever you want. It has a beat to it, a rhythm if you can find it. It also has a hidden meaning. Maybe you can find it. To some, it will make you smile, to others, if you feel the amount of emotion poured into it, will have tears in their eyes. I call it Little Bird.
Little bird, please don't cry,
Let me sing you a lullaby.
Forget your pain, forget your fears,
I will always be right here.
Right now, you may be broken,
But I promise to have you soaring,
Once again in the deep blue sky.
Little bird, look right here,
I'll catch you if you fall, my dear.
Spread you wings, close your eyes,
And soon you'll be flying high.
Right now, you may be broken,
But I promise to have you soaring,
Once again in the big blue sky.
Little bird, flying high,
I see you smiling, and eyes shining.
Faced your pain, fought your fears,
I have always been right here.
No longer, are you broken,
Now that I see you are soaring,
Forever more in that endless sky.
It's short, I know. To a certain person, he knows who he is once he reads this, he'll know exactly what it's about and why the title is what it is. To others, they might figure it out.
