Hiro sat shaking on his bed while Tristan laid on the floor, waiting for Rosie. He hadn't shown the note to Tristan , he? just told him they had somewhere to be. Immediately after receiving the note he ran home. The address and time burned into his head, hundreds of questions ran through his head. Whose blood was on the sheet? Who wrote the letter? What awaited them at the address? The time was 10:30. Hiro's family was still at work. He never saw much of his parents, they didn't see much of him either. Sometimes he wished they would take some time off to even say hello to him. Annai appeared and broke the awkward silence. "So where are we even going Hiro, you're getting me worried", Tristan looked at him almost in agreeance. All at once, three pebbles hit each of the three different windows in Hiro's room. Tristan opened one of the windows and let Rosie inside. "I see you used Fallout to hit all 3 windows at once, interesting move" Tristan said to complement her. "I thought I'd make a bit of an entrance" She gloated. Annai began "You lot probably get going. Wherever you are going, I'm gonna head out. I have shit to do". "Pretty sure thats a fucking lie" Rosie chuckled. Nightlight was too anxious to speak the entire way there; he was not prepared for what was about to happen.
They arrived on the dot. 11:00pm. "I need to explain...." Hiro said "...the reason I didn't come to school today was because I received this letter" He pulled out the letter from his track pants pocket and passed unfolded showing the rest of the team. Tristan's expression went from his usual cocky look into despair. Rosie looked pale and as if she was going to cry. "Whoever or whatever is in there, no matter what we can survive as a team."
The building they stood before was a huge empty building wearhouse used for a long bankrupt hardware store. Around the side of the warehouse the large electric roller door was open. They slowly approached the wide open door and walked in. The room was almost pitch black besides the moonlight trickling in from behind them. Until FLASH, the left side of the room's lights flickered on and a figure loitered next to the light switch. He wore a full black morphsuit with two eyes cut out and a tape recorder in one hand and a large hunting knife in the other. "WHO ARE YOU?!" Hiro screamed but nothing came out. His lips moved and all but there was no sound. He held out the tape recorder and pressed play...
"Hello, Nightlight and friends, I'm sure I'll come to know your name, ability and home address soon!..." The voice was immediately recognisable to everyone there, the voice on the recording was Cain. "Anyways, if you're hearing this you got the letter and foolishly chose to follow it. *Sigh* Well that's okay, it's your funeral anyways. If you're wondering who the guy in the suit is, all you need to know is he wasn't at the church that night you barged in but he is still a part of GOD'S WILL. Like the name? I don't care. Either way, the name is Oliver, he's a good friend of mine, we met not long after our little incident in Junior, Hiro. I tutored him and was one of his only friends. It's not easy being deaf. Oh well I'm sure his ability; Deadly Silent will take you all out very easily."
The recording stopped, But Oliver continued to hold up the recorder. Nothing but silence remained. Oliver was a giant, he looked around 6 foot with logs for arms. Nightlight turned to Rosie. Her lips seemed to move, but nothing came out almost like she was lip syncing without any music. His head shot over to Tristan who after a few seconds did the same. 'Oh fuck, what is this ability' He thought. Hiro took two steps towards Oliver drawing his blue katana with the power of Destiny. 'Just shoot him Stain!' Hiro cried, but nothing came out. Hiro swore he said it aloud and tried it again. Nothing. 'His power is to stop us from communicating by somehow removing our ability to speak!' He stood frozen a mere 9-10 meters from Oliver Katana in hand. Oliver took one look at Nightlight and immediately threw the recorder to the side and backed up into the shadows and completely out of sight. 'There is no point to talking and I'm sure the others have come to realise that by now...' Hiro thought '... We need an alternate method to communicate'. Tristan immediately drew Rosebush, aimed it at Hiro's feet, and pulled the trigger. The needle stuck into Hiro's foot without the usual sound of the gel blaster firing. "OU-" Hiro cried before being cut off halfway through the word. Stain and Nightlight locked eyes, without even needed an explanation Hiro knew exactly why Tristan did this. He pulled the Needle out of his shoe.
