The Problem? (Chp. 1)

TW! Feeling unwell, panicking, sad Janus, confused sides, snakes

Thomas wasn't feeling so well... he didn't know what it was though. He wasn't feeling anxious, he wasn't having any problems with Morality, he was being logical, and he'd seen Princey being normal earlier. "Why do I feel... different?" He decided to go to the mind palace and check on the sides.

POV: Virgil

I walked downstairs and saw the normal scene, Patton cooking, Logan reading, and Princey watching Disney movies, "Hi guys" He saw everyone look up to him, Logan answered with a simple, "Greetings Virgil" while Princey simply said, "Hey emo" and Patton did his usual, "Heya kiddo!"

There was one difference though... "Thomas?'

Thomas looked at Virgil, "Hi Virge!" Virgil was VERY confused, "You're already here?" Thomas gave him a look that said, 'Yep, and I'm not okay' Virgil started panicking a little, (Did I do something wrong? What if something happens?!) "What do you think it is?" he asked Thomas, he replied with, "I'm not anxious, well, now I am, I don't have any problems with Patton, Logan is fine, and so is Princey" Virgil was confused, "Intrusive thoughts?" "Nope, I've been fine" Virgil was confused, Deceit only affects lies... so that couldn't be it...

POV: Janus

I was laying in my room, just crying and thinking, until i remembered that my room has a secret area for all of Thomas' lies and memories Patton didn't want, he also remembered that nobody could hear anything from there, so he silently walked to the room and went inside, crying, "Virgil, why did you leave?! I- I can't do this alone!" He continued crying and talking when a snake started crawling up his arm, "Hi Virgil" another snake started curling up in his lap, "Hi Remus" He remembered naming them after the dark sides that if he lost, this would probably happen. He started petting Virgil and put his cape around Remus, "There" He calmed down quite a bit, but still continued talking to the snakes and himself.

POV: Thomas

Logan looked at Thomas, "Say that the sky is red" Patton gave Logan a confused glance, I replied with, "The sky is r... bl... RE... BLUE!" Logan looked at Thomas, "We've found the problem"

POV: Remus

I was walking to the light sides place to ask for some deodorant and annoy his brother when he saw Thomas in the mind palace, "Well hi Thomas! I was just going to ask for some deodorant and annoy my brother!" Thomas looked at me, "That's- a... di... ALR... DISGUSTING!" I stared at Thomas, "Why thank you, it also seems that you have a bit of a problem with the snake"

POV: Janus

I looked at my clock, "Its 10:00!" I grabbed Remus and Virgil and put them in my hat, "You two stay there" I told the snakes, and being that I am half snake, they understood and stayed. I walked into my room and stayed there, feeling the tingle that would eventually ask me, "Can Thomas lie?" and I decided to say, "No," I was going to give him a break today, so that he can see what its like not having any Deceit.

POV: Thomas

If there was an award for being confused, I would've won it by now. "W-What?" I asked, receiving a response from Logan, "It looks like Deceit has ducked out" I stared at him, "T-This means that I can't lie to anyone? Shouldn't that be good?" Logan sighed and stared at my face, "You can't lie to ANYONE, even yourself" I walked over to Logan, sitting next to him, "So, that's why I've been feeling off" Logan nodded, Virgil sighed, "Princey can't help boost yourself up because you can't lie to yourself and say that you can do things" Remus stared at me too, "You can't tell yourself you DON'T want to jump out of a car at least a little bit!"

POV: Patton

I was a bit surprised, "D-Deceit, he has such a big job" everyone, except Thomas, nodded, "I- Can I help?" Virgil looked at me, "If-If you were to say sorry to him maybe he would forgive you?" I was confused, "I remember telling him he, that he wasn't important" I gasped, "I gotta go say I'm sorry right now!" Virgil ran after me.

POV: Virgil

"I gotta go say I'm sorry right now!" Patton ran and I followed, "Pat, I'll lead you to his room!" I yelled, Patton slowed down, "Sorry kiddo, I thought you were going to stop me" I laughed, "I wouldn't even try! I saw how fast you are!" He giggled as we walked up to a yellow door, it had black lettering saying, "Deceit Sanders room, if you want to talk to anyone I will get them out" I laughed, remembering how he had put, "Anxiety's room, touch and Deceit will get you" on my door. Patton stared at me, "What is it kiddo?" I laughed again, explaining, he laughed too and knocked on the door.

POV: Janus

I heard a knock on the door, "Who isss it?" I elongated my s' because I was tired, I heard someone say, "It's Patton and Virgil!" I looked at the door, "What do you want?" I asked, annoyed, Patton replied with, "I wanted to say I'm sorry, I just realized how important you are for Thomas!" I heard Virgil say, "I didn't mean to be mean to you, I was just scared!" I sat up, "Fine, come in"

POV: Well, I'm the author...

Cliffhanger, what will Janus do? I'm sorry about it though! I'll try to update often, but writers block hates me- 990 words
I'm sorry for updating the names on this so much, I've got an idea but I have to edit the names for this chapter a bit for it to work
