I was gasping for air
Desi Devyn and dess ran over to me

Desi goes over to Gio and Devyn follows her and the take the gun and and take him into the house

Everything was blurry voices were going distant

The ambulance got there and they put me on a gurney and Alex and dess got in the back with me

The put a breathing thing on me
P: ok rn she can't breath on her own so we have to do it
A: is she gonna be ok
P: we can't answer that rn
I saw Alex tearing up and then everything went dark
We got to the hospital
P: she is going in and out

N: she is out again
I heard distant voices behind me it was dess and Alex
M: I can't feel my arm
D: don't worry
P: she's out again

They said dess and I couldn't go back there because we weren't family
A: shouldn't we uh call her aunt
Dess: yea do you have her phone
A: yea here
Dess grabbed maya phone and called her aunt
Dess: ok she is on her way
A: this is all my fault
Dess: Alex you cant be hard on yourself like that she saved you
A: exactly I'm supposed to save her she risked her life for me
Dess: it just shows how much she loves you
I looked at dess
A: if she dies it's on me and just imagine if she survives the hate she gonna get for messing with me form Desi and Devyn
Dess: Alex calm down Desi and Devyn want maya happy and ive never seen her happier than in these two weeks

Nurse: I need someone to answer for her
A: why what's wrong
Nurse: she is in and out and can't talk right now I need one of you to come with me
Dess: we're both coming
N: I'm sorry you can't
A: look that is my girlfriend back there and this is one of her bestfriends and I swear I'm the name of god lets us both back there
The nurse looked at me

The nurse takes us back there
I look at maya in the hospital bed helpless
D: good so can you give me her full name
A: Maya Gonzales (lets say that's your last name)
D: age
Dess: 16

D: who's her guardian
A: her aunt she is on the way

Aunt: where is she where is maya
D: ma'am I am her doctor and I need you to fill these out while I explain to you what happening
Aunt: ok
She filled the papers out
D: ma'am maya was shot in the higher chest area by what she said it looks like she can't feel her arm so it's effecting her nerves in her arm and we cleaned the wound but the surgery to take out the bullet is a concern
Aunt:concern why
D: we can either leave it in there and risk it moving further back over time or we can take the bullet out with a high risk surgery of her arm being paralyzed for the rest of her life of the surgery doesn't go well but we need her to choose which one she wants to go with but we can't because she is going in and out and can't focus she can't breathe on her own rn but we are trying everything we can do
Her aunt was streaming tears down her face and so was dess
Aunt: can we see her
D: yes she is stable for now

I was looking around and i saw Alex dess and my aunt talking to the doctor then he lets the past to see me
Aunt: omg Maya are you ok
I nodded no with my head
D: can you hear them maya
I nodded yes and my aunt held my hand
Aunt: maya they need you to choose a option ok
I nodded and the doctor told me my options
Since I had a breathing thing on my face I couldn't talk
I held my hand up with the second option
To do the surgery

D: we will start the surgery tomorrow morning

I go over to maya

I take he breathing mask thing off my face
M: I-I'm fine
Dess: maya put it on I know you can't breathe

She nodded as I gave her my phone

She started typing
I looked at the phone and it said "no not at all "
I smiled at her
Dess: he's a mess

Dess: no Alex maya needs you for Christ sake she jumped infront of a bullet for you
