-𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑- -𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞-
A lot has been going on but I'm finally divorced. Me and Michael are close, not together yet but almost at that point. But I'm so happy it's done but the court scene was nasty.
-𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊-
"We are here today to put this marriage to an end. He robbed her mental state, her physical state, and emotional state. He should be locked up for the things he did to her," My lawyer, Quinn, said then sat back down.
We were in the beginning of court and that was her opening statement. Instead of just divorcing him, I decided to get him locked up. I figured when he gets in there it's gonna be worse for him.
Today hopefully this will be a success. My mom is here with me and so is Michael.
"Why are we even in my court today, counselor?" Judge Washington asked.
"Marie Brown wants to put James Jackson behind bars for abusing her and she wants to divorce him," Quinn told him.
"Okay. Do we have any witnesses for these abuse allegations?" Washington asked Quinn.
"Yes you honor. Her neighbors, Christie and Kamarie Thomas."
"Ok. We bring Christie and Kamarie Thomas to the stand," He called.
They both walked up to the seating process. After they both did the swearing, Quinn got up and began to ask questions.
"What happened on the night of March 27th Ms and Mrs Thomas?"
"Well I was in the kitchen cooking and my husband was setting the table. We then heard noise next door and it sounded like glass breaking," Christie said.
"Did you just shrug it off?" Quinn asked as she looked at the jury.
"At first yeah, but then once my husband was done I asked if he could hear it. We both heard screams. We went next door and the door was unlocked. We went in a little further and saw someone run out," She said.
"I ran to confront the person but before I could he was already in a car, driving off. We inspected a little further and it was a blood trail that ended up to Ms Marie's body." Kamarie said.
"Is the person you saw in the courtroom today?"
"Yes," They both answered into the mic.
"Can you point them out?"
They both pointed to James.
"What did you do after?"
"We had tried to bring her back through CPR but it didn't work so we had called 911 then they took her to the emergency room." Kamarie said.
