Ze's POV

I heard a loud roar outside. The enderman ran over to the door and slowly opened it. I heard a rough, muffled voice. "Bring the human girl outside. Now."

The enderman grabbed me and dragged me outside. Standing right there, right in front of me, was The Ender Dragon. I screamed and ran back inside, my heart beating ten miles a minute. I ran into Dan, who fell to the floor.

"Ze, come back out here please." I heard the voice again.

"No!" I yelled, hugging Dan.

"Ze it's important."

I cautiously walked back outside. The Ender Dragon gave a small smile to me.

"Ze!" Viva ran up to me and hugged my leg.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I'm scared." I nodded and patted her head. The Ender Dragon gave a small nod to Viva. She just hugged my leg tighter.

"Why did you bring us here!?" I almost screamed.

"Ze, I need to tell you something important."

"Then tell me!"

"Ze, you know you're part enderman. But you don't know why, do you?"

"No, I don't know why." I've always wondered why I had these powers.

"You were born as a regular human. But the Legends say there was a girl who would have a curse. It was also a blessing. She would have the powers of an Enderman. She would make many new friends. But then the Ender Dragon would fall, and cause her to go mad. Nothing would stop her to try and get the Dragon back. Only her friends can try to stop her from loosing control."

After the Ender Dragon said that, I just stood there. After what seemed like forever I said, "So...you'll die?"

"Yes, sadly. A human, not your friend, but someone else, will kill me. I don't know who, but I know you'll be here to see it."

"But can't we change the Legends?"

"Ze, you know the answer to that. No."

A tear escaped from my eye. "I want to know why. Why you threw me into the Void."

"Ze, you couldn't stay in The End forever. The Legends-"

I cut him off. "The Legends this The Legends that! Why does everything have to do with The Legends? I don't want you to die, or for me to lose control because of it! You took care of me since I was young! I don't want you to go away..." I was sobbing in between words now. The Ender Dragon put his wing around me. It was cold but soft.

"Come on Ze. You'll still have your friends, and it won't be for another couple weeks. Please, you need to go." I didn't like the Ender Dragon that much. But now, I love him much more. You only realize how much you love something until it's gone.

Or in my case, soon to be gone.

After that, the Ender Dragon led us to a portal to get us back. We stepped in, and appeared next to the lab. I ran in and layed on my bed, sobbing. I heard Dan say something, and I heard a pressure plate.

"Viva told me what happened." Dan said softly.

"Go away." I muttered, digging my face into the pillow. I felt Dan hugging me as he sat on the bed.

"Ze, when I thought I had lost Grim, I felt terrible. I know how you feel."

"No you don't! You didn't know he was going to die! You only felt like that for a couple days! I'll feel like that forever." I yelled, looking back up at him.

"Ze...your hair." Dan was staring at my light blue hair.

"What? You know my hair is blue."

"No, your hair is black. Like obsidian." Dan put some of my hair into my face. "Only a streak is black, though."

He was right. My hair was as black as obsidian. I gasped. "My hair...it must be because I'm angry. I'm gonna lose control of my powers! I don't want to hurt you, or Viva, or Trayaurus!" I said, and turned away from Dan. I felt his hand on my shoulder.

"Ze, you know you would never do that."

"Why?"

"Becasue this." Dan leaned in and kissed me. I blushed and looked down at the iron floor.

"You're right. When I lose control, Dan, try to turn me back to normal. The Ender Dragon said only my friends can."

"Why would I ever leave you like that?" Dan smiled. I smiled for the first time today.

~~~~~~
Two weeks later, I was still feeling bad. I was feeling a little better, though. Viva kept trying to cheer me up by taking me to beautiful places, like waterfalls, mountains, and one time an underwater ravine.
"Ze! This enderman needs you!" Viva said.
Oh no. Was the Ender Dragon dying now? I rushed outside to find an enderman who looked worried. "Ze, the Ender Dragon needs you and your friends in The End. Now." I yelled for Viva and Dan, and they rushed outside. Dan gave me a worried look and held my hand.
We were teleported to The End, in front of the biggest obsidian pillar. The enderman gestured for us to go inside the large hole in it. The enderman said to me, "The Ender Dragon's home."
I ran inside, hoping not to find a dead Ender Dragon. To my relief, he was alive. But barely. His breathing was slow and raspy. One of his wings were badly torn, and on his nose was a large scar. "Ze..." His voice was quiet and I could barely hear it.
"What happened!?" I asked, walking up to him. His bright purple eyes looked directly at me.
"A human almost killed me." His breathing was getting slower.
"Which human? I'll tear them to pieces!" I yelled.
He chuckled queitly. "I don't know. There are many humans intent on killing the enderman race. They think by killing me, they will kill everyone that lives here. I want you to have something. It's over there. It will show you everything you need to know. I'm sorry this had to be you, Ze. Everything you have and will go through is terrible for someone to go through. I wish I could have lived longer."
"No! You'll live! Please don't leave. You're the only one who is nice to me here. You understand..."
"There is an egg. Once I die, an egg will take my place. I want you to raise it. It will hatch in six months. After that, look to the thing over there for guidance. I may be able to reach you from it, but I don't know."
"Ender Dragon, please. You need to live. I don't want to loose control over my powers because of you." I hugged his snout. Tears were falling from my eyes now. I didn't want him to leave. He couldn't leave me.
"Ze, I'm sorry...when I found you...I knew you would succeed...I knew...and I'm sorry..." The Ender Dragon gazed at me, his breathing almost inaudible now.
"Ender Dragon...I'll miss you." I saw him give me a small nod and closed his eyes.
Those purple eyes never opened again.
