chapter one : adam got arrested

" Ally! What's the answer to question seven? "

" ... "

" Ally? "

Aki gave me a nudge,,

" Huh? What? I'm existent. " I said as a gut reflex when Aki woke me up..

" Were you sleeping? In my class? " Ms. Clawden asked

" No- Uhm I was just, learning with my eyes closed? " I answered, the whole class laughed.

" Office, NOW " Ms. Clawden demanded.

" ight.. " I got out of my desk and walked to the door.

" Send a postcard! " Aquamarine jokingly said from her desk, the whole class laughed along.

" You too Aqua, Office. " Ms. Clawden commented.

" Sounds good to me! " Aqua answered as she booked her way to the door so walk with me, we started to
walk together in the school hallway.

" I thought mom and dad told you to not try and get in trouble when I do, " I commented.

" Shh, no one has to know. " Aqua replied. I had a chuckle.


It's been a few months since Kayla Trez put us in the insane room. We never really talked to her after that hoping she'd leave us alone..All she did was give us dirty looks in the halls..I was just hoping she didn't put us in there again. I like my memories and I'd like to keep them please and thank you. But I feel like I've gotten closer to the ones I never did hangout with. Before going through the Trez's maze, My only friends were my younger sister, Vanessa. And my best friend/adoptive sister Aquamarine. I explained that in the other book.. Uhm if you didn't read that i suggest you go read it before this one.

" This is the 7th time we've both been sent to the office this school year. It's still September. " I said.

" Wait really? Okay they are probably going to be calling mom and dad at this point. " Aqua replied, I'll say this again if you forgot..

Aqua's parents died when she was five. At the time Aqua was the mermaid princess and was being forced to be the queen now since she was the only royalty left. But the problem was she was five years old. She had no home and none of her parents' friends or other family wanted to take her in. in kindergarten Aqua and I were the best of friends. The problem here is that I'm half siren and Aqua is a mermaid. Sirens and mermaids hate each other. But my family doesn't sing to eat humans. We just don't eat humans at all. So I begged my parents to let Aqua live with us, like a forever thing until she moved out herself. After enough begging they let her stay! And we grew up together, than there was a few times Aqua accidently called my parents mom and dad.. But after a while it stuck. Aqua was literally their adopted child after all. Anyways I got out of hand, back to the actual story.

" Agreed. As soon as we get home we're dead. Like, forever. " I commented. We just walked into the office doors.

" Hello girls, got sent here again? Let me guess, Ms. Clawden? " The woman at the front desk said.

" Yep. " I replied.

" 100% " Aqua continued.

" What happened this time? " The woman at the desk aka Queen Rizo asked, she was a little nicer to us when she found out we were also put in the insane room, along with her daughter and one of our best friends, Rosey.

" I fell asleep in class, and Aqua said 'send a postcard' when i was leaving so Ms. Clawden sent her too. " I told her.


" Girls every single time you get sent to the office it's Ally doing something stupid than Aqua doing something stupid aswell to come with Ally. What's up with that? " Queen Rizo asked.

" I'm not just gonna let my sister be the only one getting in trouble. If we go down its together. " Aqua answered.

" I-I just keep doing stupid things because I am stupid- " I answered with.

" I'm sorry girls but I will have to call your parents this time " Queen Rizo continued.

" Aww man. We're dead. So dead. " Aqua commented.

" Hi Mrs. Reaper this is Queen Rizo, I'm calling about your daughters, Ally and Aqua. " Queen Rizo said on the phone, as we know she was talking to our mother. " Yes this is the 7th time this month Aqua and Ally have been sent to the office. " The queen continued, this went on for a little.

" Alright girls, your mother did sound pretty mad on the phone, she's coming to pick you up right now " Queen Rizo told us when she put the phone down.

" Alright. " I answered.

" I'm scared. " Aqua replied.

" Yeah moms scary when she's mad. " I continued

" I remember when I was a teenager and my mom got mad, she screamed at me about how I needed to be the best princess there could. " Queen Rizo replied.

" Wait so King Sparo wasn't royalty before you guys married? " Aqua asked.

" No, no, " Queen Rizo chuckled. " When I met him in school he was like any other teenage boy. Messed up. "

Aqua and I both laughed, before we heard angry footsteps walk into the office..

" Aqua, Ally. Car.. NOW " our mom screamed.

" Ight ight ight " I said, heading out.

" I'm so scared right now, " Aqua said with a smile leaving across her face. Our mother left behind us.

" Mom we're sorry! It's the teacher! She's evil! " Aqua tried to explain.

" Shush! I don't want to hear it!! " our mom replied in a loud and angry tone, she walked in front of us when we got to the car, she opened the back seat door for us, we both got in. She slammed the door making us both jump in our seats. Our mom got in the driver's seat, also slammed the door and started driving.

" Explain. Ally. " our mom said.

" Well, I accidently fell asleep during class.. So ms. Clawden got mad and sent me to the office.. And Aqua then said as I was leaving 'send a postcard'.. Ms. Clawden then got even more mad and sent Aquamarine too.. " I explained.

" Wow.. jesus Jessie.. " Our mom said under her breath.

" Who's Jessie? " Aqua asked.

" Oh, When your dad and I were still in highschool, we went to school with Ms. Clawden. Her first name is Jessie. She was that 'popular girl' type. Everyone loved her. I'm surprised what she turned into. " Our mom explained.

" Wow really? " I asked.

" Yeah.. You guys are still grounded though. " mom replied

" awe man " Aqua answered.

As soon as we got home I could see my dad sitting on the living room couch through the window. We all got out of the car and entered the house.

" Aqua and Ally are grounded, Grim. " My mother said as she walked in. breaking my dad out of his trance (he was just thinking and went on autopilot for a person)

" Uhm, why? " our dad stumbled.

" 7th time they've been sent to the office together this school year, it's still september. " my mom smirked at us.

" wow I- uhm.. Honey, can I talk to you quickly? " our dad asked, as he took our mom into a different room.

" Is dad okay? " I asked Aqua, I was actually worried. Usually he's in a happy mood. And I know he'd be pissed from Aqua and I getting sent to the office. Like the one time our brother Alexander got sent once for disobeying the teacher, my dad got so mad he grounded Alexander for 2 months.. And lately he hasn't been in a good mood. Ever since we escaped the insane room.

Then satanic screaming started playing, but like, quiet, like it was a phone. Aqua looked at me puzzled. Then I knew exactly what it was. I took my phone out of my pocket and answered without looking at who it was.

" Hi Adam. " I answered,

" Hey.. " He replied with a depressed tone.

" Everything okay? " I asked.

" I-...I need you to come pick me up. I tried calling my siblings but none of them could "

" Alright, where are you? "

" ... "

" Adam? "

" The police station... "

" What!? "

" it's a long story, I'll explain later "

" Alright, uhm, I just got grounded but I'll ask my parents, can you stay on the line? "

" No.. The officer only said I have 2 minutes. "

" Alright.. I'll be there soon.. "

" ight.. " Adam hung up.

I ran to my parents room before I told Aqua what happened.. But then before I opened the door I heard them talking..

" Honey that's in the past. It was Marissa's fait.. " My mom was speaking to my dad.

" Yeah but still. The insane room killed her. Remember how devastated Nathan was? Marissa literally had Adam the week before we all went missing! " My dad continued.

" Scott's dead though. "

" So? Kayla isn't. She could kill our daughters. "

I knocked on the door. I could hear my dad stumble off the bed and go to the door.

" Do you need anything Ally? " my dad asked me.

" Adam just called me saying he's at the police station, and he said he can't get anyone else to pick him up.. So can I maybe take the car to go get him? " I asked nervously.

My mom sighed, " Yeah okay fine, " she threw me the keys " just don't get into anymore trouble okay! "

" Okay mom thanks,, bye! " I ran out to the living room, grabbed Aqua's wrist and ran to the car, we both got in our seats and I started driving.

" What's happening!! " Aqua asked,,

" Adam got arrested " I answered.

" Oh my god was he trying to eat kids again? " Aqua continued.

" I guess- " we lived five minutes away from the police station. So we were silent the whole way there. We later parked at the street and ran in the station.

" Hello ma'am how can I help you? " The officer at the desk asked.

" Hi, my friend called me and said his siblings couldn't come get him so he asked me to come. " I responded.

" What's your full name? "

" Ally Everlor Reaper "

" Oh my gosh. Are you the Grim Reaper's daughter? " the officer gasped

" yes? " I was confused.

" tell grimy I said hello! " the officer continued. " Okay so Ally Everlor Reaper.. You're looking for Adam right? "

" Adam Gray. " I replied.

" Okay, he's in the back room. You can both go see him now. "

" Alright.. " I grabbed Aqua's arm and dragged her with me. I went into the back room where the holding cells for 24 hours. I told the officer my name and he let Adam out.

As soon as we got out of the station I spoke.

" What the hell happened man?! " I asked, getting into the driver's seat. Aqua went in the passenger seat and Adam sat in the back.

" Remember my best friend Damien? " Adam replied. He had cuts and bruises everywhere.

" Yeah, fire dragon? " I started the car.

" Yeah so, some dudes were picking on him, and I might have gotten really mad, and attacked the guys picking on him... and I won the fight. " Adam explained.

" Oh my lord, Lucas is going to be so mad. " Aqua commented. Fyi, Lucas is Adam's butler. Aka the guy who took care of Adam all of Adam's life.

" Who said he has to know? " Adam asked.

" The cuts and bruises on your body. " I replied.

" I- okay you have a point. " Adam answered.
