you know there's something wrong about you when you wake up, thinking that if you were ever given a chance to have your loved ones for yourself, you would have done so. (if only he stayed in that pretty bird cage—you promise you will keep it cleaned, and you will make sure it sparkles even under the dimmest light; your pretty, little bird cage.) you know this love has become obsession when you wake up with the urge to clip his wings.

you just know that it will not be long until you actually attempt to clip them when you wake up, naked and bare to the world, arms reaching out to the sheets, finding the other side empty. you do not scowl and instead, look up to see vibrant red wings fluttering to adjust to his clothing.

watching him, you prop your elbows. "ehhhh?" you whine a little, and for a moment, he looks back at you, and for a moment, your heart stops. "you're leaving already, takami-san?"

the way you address him by his surname implies that you know him more as a person than a hero, but at the same time, it implies unfamiliarity. no matter how many times you sleep with this man, you will never be given the honor to call him by his given name. keigo-kun, you think, and you remember the small instances when you sometimes want to moan his first name instead of his precious 'takami-san'—that honorific has never infuriated you as much as it did now.

"i have work to do, [name]-chan." he looks back at you again with that lazy smile you fell head-over-heels for, and the way he says your name—the only name you have given him since it's part of the job to give some sort of screen name for people like you—is a present you have always wanted.

pouting, you push your body off the soft sheets of the bed. (you feel yourself be flattered. takami keigo did not bring you to a love hotel, and instead, the apartment he is staying in. he never once brought you to a love hotel even though the omise is flooding with love hotels with every turn.) maybe you can make him stay a little while longer?
