Tapes Caused the Barchie Kiss

Now this theory may sound absolutely crazy, believe me I know, but just hear me out.

So we all know that the tapes have re-entered the focus of Riverdale. But perhaps those tapes aren't just a tape of each family's house, could it perhaps be hypnotising certain victims? Ever since the tapes started coming out wacky things have been happening, including the Barchie kiss. Betty is known to be hypnotised by certain trigger words so what's stopping a certain frequency level or something hidden in these tapes from hypnotising certain Riverdale citizens? I mean think of it this way, Jughead was thoroughly studying these tapes and he experienced crazy moodswings, he's constantly distracted, angry, happy, flirty. Just not the usual Jughead. One could argue that it's because of the traumatic scenarios he experienced at Stonewall Prep but these tapes could be a possibility. Betty and Archie are quite Loyal to their partners and are pretty deep in love with them so why would they suddenly decide to cheat? Could it be linked to these tapes hypnotising them, perhaps so. My suspects behind the mastery of these tapes so far are Chick and Bret. Chick is possibly in a relationship with Charles and Chick was one of the villains for Season 3, so could he be working with Charles to construct Chaos? Maybe so. Brett on the other hand, he had a collection of illegal tapes. So what's stopping him from making these tapes? Think about it, the tapes started appearing at a similar time to Brett and Charles so could one of them be behind it? Mood swings, uncontrollable actions, bursts of anger all of these could be caused by Hypnotism. It's a pretty crazy theory I know, but could we be onto something here? Possibly.
