We approached my driveway. Myself and Paige gathered the bags and left Grayson to park his car. As soon as we walked into my house we made our way straight towards the kitchen. The slight chill of fall roamed around the corridors, entering each room and leaving a touch of it behind.

"Mom? Dad? Is anyone home?" I yelled. My question bounced off the walls, slightly echoing. I entered the kitchen and grabbed three large mugs from one of the shelves. Paige and Grayson slid onto the large black stools in front of the breakfast bar.

"So he just left?" Paige asked, as she placed the bags down beside her.

"Yeah. I don't know why he is being so closed about it." I replied, continuing to make 3 hot chocolates.

"He doesn't have to tell you everything, you do know that right?" Grayson butted in. I knew Paige had shot him a glare that I would've but couldn't at that moment.

"Didn't you hear what they were talking about? It sounded pretty..... gah what's the word I'm looking for?" Paige exclaimed, clicking her fingers as if she could grasp it.

"Private." Grayson added. This time both Paige and myself sighed.

"If you aren't going to help, don't add to this." Paige snapped. Grayson put his hands in the air defensively.

"I'm just saying." He muttered, taking the cup I had placed in front of him. I sat across from them and stared into my mug.

"Am I over reacting?" I asked, not caring who answered.

"Yes"

"No" both Paige and Grayson spoke over eachother.

"Maybe I should go there. To Bo's." I added. Speaking quieter than usual.

"What? Are you crazy, that place is nothing but trouble." Grayson half yelled. Paige smacked his arm.

"Hey you might be her boyfriend but lay down on the yelling."

"Exactly, I'm her boyfriend and I don't want her to get hurt." He fired back at Paige.

"Guys I'm in the room. You do still realise that?" I butted in, turning their heads towards me. Grayson stood up and made his way closer to me. I repeated his action and openly welcomed the embrace he offered.

"I'm sorry Haley, but there is a fine line of being a caring sister and being plain stupid." He mumbled, twining his fingers through my hair. I pulled away slowly, holding onto his arms.

"I know. I'm just scared you know? I mean Dylan Hughes? You know what he's like." I gazed into his eyes. He nodded sympathetically.

"Okay! Sorry to break this up," Grace broke the moment, waving her fingers at myself and Grayson.

"But remember we have that thing tonight. But sorry Grayson, it's girls only." Grayson nodded and let go of the little connection we had left.

"Okay I get it. Im going." He grabbed his keys from the table top and made his way towards the door. He called bye to myself and Paige. I heard his car pull away a few moments later.

"Come on we need to get you ready." Paige broke the silence and gathered the bags.

"For what?" I asked, confused.

"Well a little birdy told me a party is going on tonight." She continued, making her way upstairs.

"So..."

"Well the venue is near Bo's." She smiled.

"But you heard Grayson." I added looking at the door as if he were behind it.

"We'll go to the party, then to Bo's. If nothing is going on, you have nothing to worry about." I sighed evaluating the consequences if I stayed or if I went.

"Oh come on!" She whined like a child. I groaned and began making my way upstairs.

"Okay. But only for a while." Paige flashed me a devious smile.

"One day, you'll thank me Haley Scotts." And she continued to make her way upstairs.
