Leap of Faith(REVISED)

Welcome back to chapter 2 of my first ever fanfic The ChoiceI'd love feedback on what y'all like/dislike about it and I'm open to any ideas y'all have for me. Without further ado let's get this story kicking.

Izuku's POV
"Sigh that was easier than I expected." I spoke breaking silence on my way home. "What time is it?" I ask myself pulls out phone "huh 20:55 mom's off work, she should be home in about another twenty minutes or so." I say picking up the pace now jogging.

No POV
Flashback
Izuku had started working out after his first year of middle school no one ever notice the changes his body had went through over the years.

Being only 14 years old he extremely lean and muscular boasting an eight pack he was proud of. His progress didn't come without sacrifice, he stayed up late most nights doing push-ups or ab exercises and woke up at 05:30 in the morning to go for an eight mile run as well as cleaning his local beach, Takoba Beach.

His training regimen was harsh on the body but Izuku loved the soreness every morning. Close to the end of his second year of middle school he had finished cleaning the beach, a total of 10 months to complete the task he set out to do.

He stood on the soft sand and admired what he had done, falling to his knees tears running down his face. All the pain he put himself through finally showed, he cried tears of joy looking at his callused hands. He had become faster. Stronger. But most of all he had taken a step closer to his dream.
Flashback ends

Izuku's POV
   I ran to my apartment making it to the front door unlocking it and stepping inside. "I'm home." Izuku spoke loudly. "I guess mom is still on her way ho.."

My thought was cut off my my mom coming from her room. "Izuku Midoriya where have you been I was so worried when I saw you weren't home!" My mom yelled with a hint off anger and worry in her voice.

"I'm sorry mom I went for a run I'll leave a note next time." My mom tilted her head and walked forward pulling me into a tight warm hug. "It's okay Izuku I was just really worried about you that's all" She kissed my forehead before releasing me from the hug.

"I'm so glad she didn't notice I was lying." I thought to himself as I kiss my mom on the cheek before taking off my shoes and walking to my room. I turn around "Goodnight mom, love you." I smiled "Goodnight Izuku, I love you too."

My mom smiled showing so much love. I walk into my room and see the other letter I had written and decided to put it in my drawer. After that I got ready for bed and laid down closing my eyes and drifting to sleep.
Time skip

"Ring ring.. ring ring.. ring ring.. ri.." I stop my alarm clock then looked at it "06:00." "Today's the day" I say to myself getting out of bed to get ready for school.

After getting ready and packing my backpack I look at the clock one more time "06:45" "I have time for breakfast." I say walking to the kitchen noticing my mom had made

Kastudon my absolute favorite food in the world. Right next to it was a note. "Good morning Izuku I went to work early today I'll be back a little late tonight there's groceries in the fridge make dinner for me please - Love Mom" "thank you mom, love you" I thought to myself as I started eating.

I finished eating putting my dishes in the sink then looking at the time "07:15" "I should head to school before everyone gets there." I put my shoes on and take my short ten minute walk to school.

Katsuka's POV
   I wake up at 06:30 and get ready for school. As I finish up getting my backpack packed and my uniform on I look at the time "07:00" "I'll make some toast and head out" I say to myself heading to the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and put some bread into the toaster while I'm waiting I see a white envelope sitting on the counter then I remember my mom has said there was a letter for me. "Guess I can read I now" I say out loud as I walk to pick up the letter. "This hand writing look familiar" I think to myself as I open the letter. I unfold it and begin reading it. "Dear Katsuka, I know this is sudden but if you're reading this thank you for being my friend. Even if you picked on me or called me names I've always thought of you as one of my closest friends." "No.." I think to myself. "I was born quirkless as ever since that day I found out I was quirkless I've been lonely. You have everything. You have an amazing quirk. You have friends. You have a life worth living. "No no no no" I say with tears running down my face. "Yesterday you told me swan dive off the top of the school and prey I have a quirk in my next life. So I'm going to do that. I'm just waste of a breath. A waste of space. I burden to you. A burden to my mom. A deku. If you're reading thing I'm gone by now. Thank you for the memories we shared together growing up. I know you'll be come a great hero someday. -forever Izuku "Deku" Midoriya." I clinch the letter tears dripping on the paper. My legs give way and I drop to my knees. "Why did I have to hurt him.. sniffle why did I hurt the man I love." I say softly to myself teardrops falling faster and faster. "I have to stop him." I say getting up. I grab my back pack put my shoes on and run out the door hoping I'm not to late to save him.

Izuku's POV
   I make it to the school and look at the time "07:26" i looks around. "No one's here" I say "good" I exclaim as I walk into the school heading to the roof. I make it to the room top and walk to the edge. I see students walking through the gate. I pull a picture out of my pocket. (The picture is of Izuku, Katsuka, Izuku's mom, and Katsuka's mom.) I look down at the picture and tears start rolling down my cheeks. "I'm sorry son but you're quirkless" "mom can I still be a hero? I'm sorry Izuku I'm sorry" "swan dive off the top of the roof." Everything came flooding in like a dam had just broken.

No POV 
   Izuku stepped onto the ledge of the rood clinching the picture in his hand. "I'm sorry for being so useless" izuku says to himself before looking down seeing a crowd has now formed on the ground. Katsuka is running full speed towards the school using her explosions to propel her forward faster. She arrives at the gate and see the crowd she then looks up and see's the love of her life standing on edge the roof. Her tears come back as she drops her back pack and rushes forward to make her way through the crowd. "IZUKU!" She yells with tears in her eyes. "PLEASE IZUKU DON'T I NEED YOU!" Her tears are rushing out like a waterfall now but her words fall upon deaf ears. "I love you mom" Izuku says and jumps. Katsuka see him jump and she drops to her knees "NOOOOO!" She screams at the top of her lungs as she see Izuku fall faster towards the ground. She can't contain her tears. She can't contain her feelings. She can't contain her guilt.
