There's only one thing that is worse than getting up early in the morning and that's being woken up by your best friend's girlfriend (which heppens to be your friend) with a scream!

"OMG, I cannot believe you're here! I've missed you so much Mia!" I'm embraced in a hug before I can even remember my own name. Seconds later we are both startled by a laughter.

Just to clarify - the one screaming is Faith (Dean's girlfriend) and the one laughing is my beloved best friend Dean.

"You should see yourselves right now. I mean come on ... you, Mia, look like you don't know what a hairbrush is and you, Darling, look like you've just eaten a ton of shugar and now it is effecting you badly!" He is seriously laughing his ass off and we're both ready in no time. We use the fact that he is distracted to our advantage and throw pillows at him - one in each hand. Dean is down to the floor trying to hide from us behind a pillow with no success may I add.

We soon hear my grandmother calling for us to go downstairs. Dean is the first to go, knowing that her baked goods are waiting to be eaten. Faith is at his heals leaving me to take a shower and dress. I take good half an hour and when I'm finally down I'm greeted by the smell of freshly made pancakes. Ohhh how much I love them!!!! There're blueberries in a bow next to my plate and I'm about to put some on my pancakes and I look up just in time to see one of them being stolen. Ohhh how dare he?!

"Dean you better have a dead wish 'cause I'm gonna KILL YOU!!!!!" He looks at me then at Faith and back at me.

"Just so you know if I don't survive Darling, I love you. With that said...RUN!" and he takes off circling the table with me chasing after him.

"You are dead meat, you hear me DEAD MEAT!" I'm acting like a mad man but take into concideration that not only did they wake me up, now they steal my precious food!

"Enough you babies!" We are both brought to a stop with my grandma's command. If there's one thing that is most important for my family that is respect and obedience oops, okay two things. And since Dean and I have been friends for the longest of times he has come to except our family rules. We sit back at our places and Faith is the first to speak.

"So Mia we came up with this great plan and now you'll have to follow it. Me and Dean will show you around town then he'll leave us to some shopping therapy and in the end of the day we'll show you a place you've never known about." You wish was on my tongue but I didn't have it in me to kill her enthusiasm.

Hours later I'm exhausted and surprised by Faith's energy. She and Dean insisting on me going to that damn place they find so fascinating. We stopped by at mine to leave the bags and take Rex out for a walk. With Rex on my side and Dean on the other we walk towards the oh so great place they have to show me. In about 15 minutes time we stop in front of a enormous lawn, more of a field actually, but according to Faith everyone calls it The lawn. As I thought a bit more concentrated I found out I knew this place and I found myself searching for a certain abandoned house in the other end of it (if you could call it so).

When we were little we used to walk around a lot and we've passed by this very house many times but as the children we were, we were too scared to go too close to it. Now looking at it though it seems as if somebody took care of it or at least partly. It didn't look as creepy as before but I wasn't sure if it was due to that now on the lawn there were one too many people for my liking or because we grew up. Anyhow, as I mentioned there really were a lot of people on that lawn - some in their early teens, mostly people my age which happened to be 18 almost and even some in their early twnties and not forget many dogs. Aperantly it was a fine place to go and see people, find friends or just sit and listen.
