"Stop." Commanded the dark figure.
I froze, halfway through blocking a strike from the girl, who I had learned was called Katie Rooch, an odd name, but it didn't matter her name.
"Yes, my lord?" Asked Katie, kneeling on one knee.
I didn't kneel, just relaxing and turning to the dark figure.
The dark figure looked at me, forcing me to my knee with just a glance.
"Simon, you can now defeat an alchemist that is the worst fighter out of all my disciples, which can destroy anything humans can make 10 times consecutively. While you won't be able to fight with your maximum power, it will be enough to survive. For now." The dark figure nodded, moving its gaze to Katie.
I stayed silent, keeping my gaze on the ground.
"To prove your loyalty you must kill the entirety of your city." The figure paused, not a single bit of emotion in his voice. "In a single night."
I froze, staring up at him with my jaw to the floor. A whole city...killed in one night? I wouldn't be able to kill the entire city in an entire week!
"With all due respect," I voiced with obvious fakeness in my voice. "How am I supposed to do that? Not to mention the ethical and moral implications!"
If this was a human, it probably would have worked. Appealing to a human's internal sense of morality and ethicality probably would have worked. Sadly, the fact that this was an all-powerful being that can shatter my entire being slipped my mind. Just the mention of ethics and morals made the figure's eyes, I'm not sure if he even had eyes, narrow.
"You will be able to do it with my powers, once Katie shows you how to use them." His voice was deep and cold, hatred seeming to drip from his words. "If you wish to live, don't even think about having ethics or morals. You are a dog. Nothing more. Your only purpose is to serve my every whim."
His words sent shivers down my spine. It was at that point that my will shattered. I had been harboring hope that I could escape his command at some point, but he had broken me with a few words.
"Yes, my lord," I said, bowing my head solemnly.
I heard a snap of the figure's fingers, a visible shockwave that originated from it. My head stayed down out of respect for the figure. Just after the shockwave passed me, I noticed that the figure was gone. Looking to my left, I saw Katie already standing and facing me. Standing up, around two inches taller than her, I turned to look at her.
"So, newbie, we need to establish some ground rules if I'm gonna help you," Katie spoke with an authoritative voice. I didn't really care, I was only here because I didn't know how to get out.
"Rule number one. No looking at my boobs, ass, thighs, calves, feet or anything below the neck unless I instruct you to do so. Got it?" This rule seemed dumb, but I nodded anyway. I didn't have any plans to look at those parts anyway.
"Rule number two. You will call me ma'am no matter what. If you do call me anything else that I do not like, then you will do 200 laps around the track." What track? This is a boundless void, I'm not sure there could be a track even if Katie made one herself.
"Rule number three. There will be no relations between us, no matter the circumstances. We are nothing more than two disciples to our Lord. Got that?" Katie made a lot of rules about us dating... She must have a crush on me and is trying to beat it out of her.
"Rule number four. You will do exactly as I tell you to do, and you will do it without question. Is that clear?" Katie asked, her eyes narrowing. Honestly, it would've been like a military camp IF Katie and I weren't naked, now it just seemed like some kinky BDSM Male submission play.
"Those are all my rules, You do not get the chance to agree or disagree to these terms, because for the remainder of our times together you will obey these rules. Do I make myself clear?" Katie asked, her hands behind her back and her chest puffed out, which as a male, was really hard to not look at.
"Alright, first lesson. I will explain to you what magic is, how to harness it and the different types of magic the one hundred Devils of hell command, and the benefits of serving under each devil." Katie said, making my brain spin already.
As if noticing my confusion, she sighed, waving her hand and a chalkboard appeared behind her.
She drew two circles interlaced in the Venn-diagram type design.
"Okay...Looks like we have to go elementary for this..." Katie sighed again, taking the chalk in her hand and writing words in the circles. The left one had The Seer in it and the right had The Butcher. "Okay, this circle on the left represents our Lord. He is the most powerful Devil out of all one hundred, but don't be misled, even the weakest Devil can destroy multiverses with a single thought. This circle on the right, represents The Butcher, he is around the fifty-second most powerful Devil." Katie waited for the information to sink in, her hand on her hip seductively. I had to look away to not violate rule one.
After a bit, I nodded and looked back, ready to listen again. Katie wrote Primordial energy in the overlapping area of the Venn-diagram.
"So, they all command a force known as Primordial energy. It is the energy from the birth of basically everything, barely anything is left anywhere, and it all went to the Dark World after trillions of years. One could even say that the one hundred Devils were even created from the energy at the beginning of everything, but were deemed too disgusting by the one hundred Gods and were sent into the Dark World to live out their immortal lives there. Continuing on--" I cut Katie off.
"Sorry, did you say the one hundred Gods? Are they like the opposite of the one hundred Devils? If so, could I pray to one and then they come down and take me as their disciple, saving me from my fate?" I asked curiously.
Katie sighed, holding the bridge of her nose in annoyance.
"It's not that simple. While the Gods may be powerful, they came to an agreement with the Devils that they'll stay out of each other's way. The Devils naturally obliged, since none of them could even access the mortal plane at that time. Even with the Devil's growing strength, they can only affect individuals that can't affect much. That's why you're here. You were deemed either unimportant or disgusting by the one hundred Gods that they stopped protecting you from the Seer." Katie paused and leaned against the chalkboard.
My mood instantly darkened after hearing that. Not only was I deemed disgusting, I caught the attention of an all-powerful demon that will not let me go no matter what.
"Back to what I was saying. The one hundred Gods and Devils were bound together at the beginning of existence, meaning anything one of them feels, their counterpart will feel the exact same." Katie continued, not caring if I was listening.
"So it's essentially like a dark and light side?" I asked, tilting my head.
"No, it isn't. Nothing in any world is black and white, dark or light. The Gods just happened to gain the upper hand, overpowering the Devils and sealing them away. The bond between each God and Devil is still just as strong, if not stronger, to the point they started to share power. This new development allowed the Seer to access the mortal plane, summoning disciples to enact his will in the world." Katie answered, shaking her head slightly at my stupidity.
I signaled her to continue, listening silently, absorbing as much information as I can. By the end, my mind was practically spinning inside my head.
"Alright, lesson over, ten laps around the track while I rest." Katie waved her hand, the chalkboard disappearing and a bed appearing behind her, which she promptly fell onto. I looked to my left and a track the size of an Olympic track appeared. My mouth dropped to the floor as I glared at Katie.
Reaching behind me, the halberd appeared in my hand. Lunging towards her, I stabbed the spear tip down at her bulging chest. Before I could react, she caught the spear tip, her other hand grabbing the shaft and snapping it in half. Next thing I knew, my face was buried in her chest with a knife in my back.
"You really are a terrible student." Katie sighed, twisting the knife in my back, causing me more pain than I could imagine. I cried out in pain before blacking out.

----------

I pushed the idiot off me, stabbing every inch of his skin, making it harder for him to regenerate.
"What am I gonna do with this numbskull?" I spoke to the void, not expecting an answer.
I decided to pass the time as I watched his wounds slowly heal, almost visible to the naked eye. I could almost see his cells reworking themselves and making them stronger.
"I'm not entirely sure why He makes us naked every time we come here...." I pondered, looking down at my bountiful chest. "At least the idiot isn't a pervert..."

----------

I slowly opened my eyes, the pain from before gone. I pushed myself up onto my knees, inspecting my body. There were stab marks all over my body, but they were healed over, almost completely gone except for a shade lighter skin. Sighing in relief, I got up, looking around me. There was a track to my left, a bed under me, and a red-haired naked lady fighting ten people with only a knife.
Turning towards the lady, the ten people vanished. The lady turned towards me and started walking towards me. Katie, the red-haired lady, reached me and stabbed me in my leg.
"Ow, what the fu-" Katie cut me off.
"Go run fifty laps. Any complaining and it'll be one hundred."
Knowing that she's not kidding, I limped over to the track. Getting to an easy to remember the start and finish line, I started doing my best to run. The knife that was still in my thigh wasn't doing me any favors, so I threw it out and kept limping around the track. Somewhere around the tenth lap, I could run normally. Looking down, extremely confused, I saw nothing. No stab mark, no wound, not even a scab.
"What in the-" I said, stopping to examine my leg. "FUCK!!"
The moment I did, a knife appeared in the side of my other thigh, making me cry out in pain.
"Keep running," Katie said from the bed.
I cursed at her under my breath, mentally planning to kill her as I ran.
Without my touching the knife, after the fifteenth lap, it fell out, making me surprised, but I didn't stop running. I noticed that the pain from before was gone, making me smile and run a little faster.

----------

I crawled my way to the finish line, completing the fiftieth lap. Breathing heavily, I was covered in sweat from head to toe.
"I would say pathetic, but you don't have as much of the Seer's power as a normal disciple does, so for what you have... that was below average. Have you ever exercised in your life?" Katie asked, shaking her head and sighing in disappointment.
I frowned at that remark, and was about to insult her back, but then she went on a tangent.
"For humans, just one quadrillionth of the Seer's power means limitless possibilities, you have around one-trillionth! You should be able to run three hundred laps without breaking a sweat, and you can't even run fifty! Normally, people have to figure it out themself, but I'll teach you how to properly use the Seer's powers, since you clearly are an absolute moron."
I was once again about to insult her back, but she put a finger to my lips.
"Shut up." She said, her eyes releasing a mist with a green light.
I felt a shiver run down my spine when I saw her eyes were releasing the mist. Something about the mist seemed unnatural and revolting. She made me stand up and she stood behind me.
"Think about a place that calms you, it doesn't have to be real."
Closing my eyes, I instantly thought of a small oval-shaped cave. A little clear-water pond in the middle, a hole in the top of the oval, the sun shining down on the water. There was vibrant green grass, a single tree next to the pond, the leaves rustling even though there's no wind. Small sparkles of gold appearing and disappearing occasionally in the cave. Sighing happily, I opened my eyes and saw a dark void that instantly darkened my mood.
"Good, now imagine that place inside your body, around your stomach."
I listened, closing my eyes to imagine it.

----------

I watched the moron trying and failing to summon magic. I was actually telling him the truth, though I do want to lie to him. Sadly, my master is watching me, making sure I don't lead him astray since a failed disciple is worth nothing to him.
"Notice how warmth is spreading throughout your body, covering every inch of it. You might feel an overwhelming power flood your mind, take control of your mind and you will command every part of your body, down to the last atom and electron." I said, watching his reactions.
There were beads of sweat that were covering his face and body. Sighing, since he seemed rather weak, both physically and mentally, I used the warmth in my body, extending it outwards and making it wipe away the sweat from his body. Sure I could have done it manually, but I don't care about this trash, I just find it disgusting to see him covered in sweat. Once I was done, I felt the warmth return to my body. Normally, I would let the warmth disappear, since my body produces more warmth to replace it, but something about the Dark World makes mortals not produce energy...
I turned my attention back to the moron. What I saw, made my skin crawl.
