I turned my attention back to the moron. What I saw, made my skin crawl.
"What is that?" I asked, standing up slowly and walking towards it just as slow.
The moron was facing upwards, his mouth and eyes wide open, light shooting out of them in vibrant colors, practically rainbows. But that wasn't shocking. This happens to most people, and the rainbow was a common color for the first time since it means the color of your magic is decided at that time. The thing that was shocking was...
A giant Aurora, thousands of feet wide and long. It wasn't like the Northern Lights in color. It was every color of the rainbow, exploding out and making a miracle to even think about.
My mouth fell open as the lights gathered into a single point, chaotically swirling in a perfect sphere, slowly turning white and then exploding outwards so fast that I wouldn't be able to see it if I was a normal mortal. I was stunned, it might have been short, but the beauty of it was enough for me to be in utter amazement. Finally moving my eyes, they fell onto the body of the moron that had fallen limp to the void's floor, not sure if it has one, but everything I created seemed to be level.
Something in me changed after seeing that. Maybe it was hope that I thought was long gone. Hope that he could get us out of the hell we were trapped in. Maybe it was silly to think that. Humans can gather primordial energy in the mortal plane, but it wasn't as fast as the hundred Devil's could gather energy. I knew that it was crazy of me to think of escaping an all-powerful dark deity, but some part of me that was locked away had broken free, filling my heart with warmth, unlike the usual warmth that spread through my body.
"Simon....Who are you really....?"----------
I felt my consciousness fly back into my body, making me slowly sit up, a splitting headache making me put a palm to my head.
"Fuck...." I breathed, clenching my eyes tight.
"Feels like you're hungover right?" asked a female voice from behind me.
I turned slowly, opening my eyes and I saw Katie lying down beside me, completely relaxed. It took all my willpower to not fuck her with my eyes.
"Sorry...did we....you know?" I asked, pointing to myself and then her, tilting my head slightly.
She shook her head, her face turning into one of disgust.
"Satan no, why would I do that?" Katie asked, turning onto her side and giving me a better view.
"Why did you not say-" I was cut off by a knife pointed at my throat, no arm attached to it. Only Katie had a finger pointed at it, seeming to control it mentally.
"You'll do well to not mention anything holy in the Dark World," Katie said, a green mist being emitted from her eyes.
Tilting my head more, I shivered slightly at the mist. Deciding it was not smart to ask the question I wanted to.
"Sorry I passed out, did anything happen while I was unconscious?" I asked, moving to lie on my side, facing her.
"Not anything worth noting," Katie said, a little quieter than usual. I decided to ignore the volume change.
"Any more lessons ma'am?" I asked, expecting to get up and go to the magically appearing chalkboard.
"Yeah, but we can stay here for that since we can make 3D diagrams," Katie said, sitting up, waving her arm and leaning against a magically appearing wall on one side of the bed, giving me another full view of her perfect body.
"As you wish, ma'am." I nodded, sitting up and leaning against an invisible wall that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Even Katie hadn't moved her arm, which she usually needed to summon things. Katie seemed to pause at the wall that she could apparently see clearly.
".....So the first thing you need to know," Katie started talking, not caring if I was listening as usual. "There are 5 types of magic." As Katie spoke, 5 orbs of different colors appear in the air, circling around each other in an ever-changing orbit.
"They have certain colors that show which type of magic they are. There's red, which is Attack Spells. Blue, which is Defensive Spells. Green, which is Healing Magic, the type I specialize in. Yellow, which is Illusory Magic. Purple, which is Mind Control. Yes, it affects the mind differently than Illusory Magic." Katie explained, pointing to each colored orb as she spoke.
I nodded, actually enjoying the 3D diagram she created.
"So, when we do anything with magic, we use a part of our magic, or as it's commonly called, Prime Energy, to perform that action. There are types of magic that are the only type that can perform certain tasks, like healing or attacking someone." Katie paused before continuing.
"But as you saw before, any type of magic can be used to create something. For example, you saw my eyes release green mist whenever I would perform magic. That happens to every Witch or Warlock. It's a side effect of our magic. No matter where we release our magic from, some always leaks out through our eyes. The more Prime Energy we have, the stronger the mist, meaning the more Prime Energy we leak out. That's why our attacks or magic will never be at our full power." Katie continued, demonstrating by holding out her hand and making green smoke float on her hand, and it was like she said. Her eyes were releasing a dim green mist.
"Why don't you try to do what I just did? It doesn't require a lot of control." Katie said, a strange mist in her eyes. I nodded, holding out my hand.
"Uhhh....How do I do that?" I asked, looking at her confused.
Katie sighed and I swear something inside her die.
"Okay, imagine the warmth in your body that I had you imagine before. Then imagine that a small amount of it moves out of your body to do what you want it too." Katie answered.
I nodded, closing my eyes. I felt warmth throughout my body, warmer than anything I'd ever felt before. I imagined some of the warmth exiting my right hand and floating there. Slowly opening my eyes, I remained as focused as I could while watching a pale white smoke exit my hand and float up and down.
"Holy hell..." I said, enamored by the fascinating sight.
Katie watched it all with a neutral face, as usual.
"Good, now that you have performed basic magic, let's move onto determining your color," Katie said after a while, standing up and walking away.
I followed her, dispelling the magic, not taking the warmth back into my body. I failed to notice that my body produced more warmth and moved it to the 'cold spot'.
Katie stopped in the middle of the track, turning to face me, her breasts swaying from the movement.
"Your color is the type of magic that is your strongest. Anyone can cast every type of magic, although it will be far weaker than if you use your strongest magic. We need to find out yours, and since I don't trust you to not damage yourself, I'm going to take out your magic sphere for you." Katie said, walking towards me when she finished.
I nodded, relaxing completely. Katie reached me and put her hand on my chest, closing her eyes. I felt a pulling sensation at my chest, but there seemed to be an equally strong force that was keeping something inside me. Katie started sweating, pulling harder, the keeping force matching her strength. After a while, the strength used its full force, pushing Katie back and sending her flying a few feet.
"What the hell?" I muttered, standing still and looking down at her.
"I guess you'll have to take it out yourself..." Katie said, defeated.
I sighed and held my hand out. I decided to try it myself. She had exerted a pulling force on my chest, right? So, if I can copy that pulling force, maybe the sphere might listen to me?
I imagined the warmth inside me pulling the sphere through my chest, down my arm, into my hand, and then to rest on my palm. I felt it copying my imagination, and when it reached my palm, I opened my eyes. And what I saw astonished me.
A blinding white light that shone with the brilliance greater than the universe. I would have looked away, but it didn't seem to harm my eyes, I could see through the light, and I could even see what the source of it was. A sphere that felt still in my hand, but looking at it, the insides seemed to be swirling chaotically. It never seemed to be still, constantly shifting and moving in new patterns.
"What are you...?" I heard a voice say. I looked up at them and saw Katie, she was holding an arm above her eyes as if the light was too bright to look at.
I imagined the sphere returning to my hand, moving up my arm, into my chest and resting in the center, back in the cave. I watched as the sphere sunk into my hand and visibly moved through my arm and chest before vanishing into the cave.
"What do you mean?" I asked when I turned back, facing Katie once more.
"I mean, no human can have a light that bright! Even the strongest human can only hurt your eyes a little with their light! What are you!?!" Katie yelled the last part.
".......I am human, just like you," I said, speaking the truth.
Katie didn't believe me, but she had put her arm down once she realized the light was gone.
"Bullshit," Katie said, stronger than when she had yelled, although somehow quieter.
"....When I cut myself, I bleed. When I overeat, my stomach hurts. When I'm upset, I swear. When I overwork, I get tired. I am human," I said forcefully, not breaking eye contact.
Katie once again didn't believe me, she just raised her palm towards me, a green mist being released from her eyes.
"Whatever you are," A deep voice echoed around the void. "You are a great asset and are bound to me forever. If anyone harms you, another Devil, or even a God, then there will be hell to pay."
The last few words seemed filled with hatred and warning, prompted by Katie about to attack me. The threat didn't seem directed at her or even me, almost as if the voice was talking with people right next to him.
I shivered at the voice, clenching my fists and staring Katie down as her hand faltered. She put it down and the mist disappeared as she looked downwards.
I started to miss my Halberd, even if I had just gotten it, it was already familiar in my hands. I wasn't sure where it was though, so I just held my hand out to my side and used some of the warmth to bring the Halberd to my hand. I felt a shaft in my hand after a few seconds. I looked down and saw the familiar Halberd.
"Welcome back," I said with a smile.
I twirled the Halberd with one hand a few times before realizing that I was taller than it by a few inches.
"Wait..." I asked, turning my attention to my body. I hadn't paid much attention to my outward appearance while I was here. My muscles had gotten bigger and more defined. You could see the faint outline of an eight pack developing, and my "third leg" had gotten longer as well.
Scrunching up my face, I used Prime Energy to summon a mirror. My body had indeed changed. I had somehow grown 9 inches, reaching 6'5". My face had gotten more handsome, and masculine.
"How?" I looked towards Katie with confusion laced in my voice.
"Prime Energy can change your body just by being inside of it, we actually use the energy to develop their bodies to the point of perfection. Either to aid in our self-confidence or just to get a stronger foundation to house Prime Energy. The stronger the foundation, the more Prime Energy we can store in our bodies." Katie explained, making me nod in understanding.
"So that's why I look perfect..." I said, turning my attention back to my reflection.
Katie snorted before talking again.
"If you think you're perfect now, you're gonna be in love with yourself once we refine your body to the maximum."
I frowned and dispelled the mirror.
"You said that we can gather Prime Energy to strengthen ourselves? How do I do that?" I asked, tilting my head in curiosity.
"Well, there are several methods to gather Prime Energy. You can either push all of your Prime Energy out of your body, since Prime Energy is attracted to other Prime Energy, it'll gather more, although this leaves you with no defenses.
"You can push a small amount of Prime Energy, although it'll be a lot slower and won't gather as much."
"And the final method is to have sex with someone," Katie finished, her face turning slightly red, barely noticeable to any person.
"And why does having sex make you stronger?" I asked, tilting my head to the right.
"Because since every part of your body now contains Prime Energy, so does your genitals, which means that when you climax, you essentially release Prime Energy into the other person, which strengthens your own, although if one of the partners is weaker, then it doesn't benefit the stronger one." Katie answered, her blush becoming slightly more visible.
"So why did you say we couldn't have sex? Wouldn't it benefit me more if we did that, and then if we did that enough, it'd benefit you too." I said, a smirk on my face.
Katie fell silent, and I could see the gears turning in her head.
".....I'll do that with you, only if you can fully integrate Prime Energy into your body and refine your body to the 4th level..." Katie said sheepishly, making me smile at that.
For once, she seemed to be embarrassed, or at least shy. I'm not entirely sure what caused it, but it led to me being able to fuck her eventually. I'm not entirely sure how long it'll take for me to reach whatever the 4th level is, but hopefully, it's soon because I really want her body.
"A-Anyway, let's continue with another lesson..." Katie said, looking away before finally composing herself.
I nodded, blatantly breaking rule one by staring at her chest and ass. Katie didn't seem to mind as she created a 3D model of a pyramid.
"Alright. This is a visual representation of the levels of body perfection. The lowest level is the foundation. You have just barely managed to reach that level. We have named each level, and there are 9 levels." Katie said, walking in front of the picture and motioning towards the base of the pyramid.
Half of the pyramid disappeared, showing 9 different levels inside, the bottom said Foundation.
"These are the 9 levels. The names are not important, as most people just typically say the level they're on," Katie paused before motioning to her body, doing a little spin. "This is a 5th level body, it is perfect in the eyes of a human, but compared to a 9th level, it is utter trash. In congratulations on your recent success, I am lifting the first rule, you are allowed to look at my body whenever you wish..." Katie said the last sentence quietly, but my 1st level ears picked it up, making me smile and let my eyes roam around her body.
Something dawned on me while I was doing so.
"You mentioned 3 methods of gaining power, it doesn't seem like the Devils can do any of those, since any loss in their power could make them vulnerable to destruction from their fellow Devils. So how do they gain power?" I asked.
Katie paused; as if consulting someone about whether she should tell me, so I waited.
"The Devils were imprisoned in the Dark World by the Gods, and since whenever one gets stronger, the counterpart gets stronger as well, the Gods made it so Prime Energy automatically gathers in the Devils, whether they want it or not. It's essentially a giant power farm that the Gods created to get more power without doing a thing." Katie said with disdain.
"...So the Gods in this scenario, are the bad guys?" I asked, confused. Usually, in every depiction of Gods, they were always the good guys.
"Yes, if you want to put it in terms of good and bad, then the Gods are the bad guys. Although in this dimension, there is no good side, it's all bad." Katie said, darkness showing in her eyes.
I fell silent, thinking this over. So if both sides are bad, there's really no way for me to escape the darkness...
"So the Gods enslaved the Devils and the Devils in hopes of getting freed from their prison; gathered enough power to break the 'barrier' and started enslaving humans...?" I asked, looking up at her.
Katie nodded, not saying a word. Hearing that, I felt some part of me become determined. Maybe pity, empathy, sympathy. I'm not sure, and I don't care. I was going to let the Devils free, and then have them serve me in exchange for their freedom.
I had finally found what feeling had risen in me. Greed. Overpowering Greed, the kind that lusts for everything and won't stop until everything under every horizon, every shadow, was its property.
"Katie, let me out of this world once I finish making my body as strong as yours," I said, a newfound determination in my eyes.
Katie looked completely in shock as she looked in my eyes. After a while, she spoke.(Word count: 2952)
