Hito grew up in Tokyo, Japan as a middle class Junior. Although back then he didn't go by 'Hito' but instead Lea.
He had dreams of becoming a website coder. Since middle school he studied codes, and often thought of himself as an "ethical hacker."
His father had walked out when he young, leaving behind a pregnant wife and six year old son to fend for themselves. His mother had worked day and night to provide for their family, only to fail and rake up years worth of debt.
Lea hated to see her like this, so at the age of 11, he took up a job as a backstage hand, in charge if the lighting. He had only worked there for maybe a month when on the crew noticed how good he was with computers and invited him to "help him and his friends out with a late night job."
Lea never knew what they had meant until it was too late.
However, that job had given him the amount of money it took his mother a week to make, so he kept it up. Atleast until his mother could get a suitable job to support them.
Be was 16 when that finally happened. Five long years of keeping up with the bills so his mother could return to school, get a degree, and get a better job later, he finally quit the mafia.
But when he told his partners that he was done, they threatened him.
"I'm done guys. I got what I needed. There's nothing else for me in this life."
"What about your life, bro?" Mio smirked and pulled out a knife.
"Look kid. If I don't see you here on Saturday night, you can bet your ass that I'll track you down and make sure you and that petty sis of yours gets put to rest. Ya here me?"
"Y-yes sir.."
"Good. Now get outta here loser. We gots something to work on." He patted the trunk of the car he was leaving against. "Unless yous wanna watch I suggest beating it."
Hito ran.
He was smart. He had managed to convince the mafia that he was an orphan with a little sister who was horribly ill. That he couldn't keep up with the bills, that he needed extra money. He had hoped that would by him some time, but it didn't.
There was no way he was going to help them Saturday. He knew that that was how most got sucked into that business.
But he also couldn't keep on with his life, they would come after him and his family if he just sat back and continued on with his life.
Thus be decided to lay low in Kieca. It was a small area with a large crime rate. That mafia family had absolutely no tied there either, too many gangs for them to keep up with.
He knew would fit in perfectly. Then in a few years, when the mafia forgets about him, he would return home to his mom and brother. Right?
"I never exactly asked for much; I just want my family safe."
