Chapter 2
It was the middle of the night when i woke up, sweating and screaming, like always. The nightmares constantly wake me up hours before dawn. But now, that's exactly what I needed. I don't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere late at night, and that means getting an early start. I'm probably gonna travel at night anyways though. It just means unnecessary and avoidable problems.
I still had some space in my bag for something very important. Money. I went to my safe and took about 2000 gold. It's not a lot, but its more than some people have. I have more in my safe, but I don't want to risk bringing any more. Anyways I already have weapons and clothes. This money is more for food and a place to sleep if I can find an inn or something. And even then I can hunt for food and cook it on a fire.
I put a comfortable shirt on and a light sweater. I put stretchy pants on and comfortable boots. I have two ways to get to Bloodstone. One is to go from Bowerstone market to Bower Lake, through Brightwood and the bandit coast, to Westcliff, and then take a boat from there to Bloodstone. A better way to do that would be to take a carriage to Westcliff then travel the rest on foot. Or I can go to the Brightwood tower and use the cullis gate to Wraithmarsh and through to Bloodstone. Since that cullis gate isn't exactly working, I'll have to go the other way.
I'm ready. I know what I have to do. This is what's best for me. I can keep telling myself that, and though I believe it, there's still a part of me that thinks this isn't a very good idea. I mean I have a home, a job, money...everything I could need. But I still feel like something's missing. I don't know what, but I know I'm not gonna find it here.
That empty feeling is all too familiar. I always feel cold and empty like something is missing. But I put on my mask and act like nothing can hurt me. Well to be honest not much can.
I passed through the town square and woke up a homeless man sleeping in a bed made out of a cardboard box. His eyes pleaded for my money, but i just kept walking.
I got to the carriage driver and paid the 12 gold to get to Westcliff. I got in the carriage and started my journey to Bloostone. To Reaver.
**********
Hey guys! So yeah thanks to the 15 people who have taken the time to read my story! And to the 2 who voted! But nevertheless I will continue to write, whether people read it or not, though I do so much prefer having people read it :) anyways yeah, until next time. By the way, this is WAY shorter than intended. There were some things I needed to check by playing the game and I just couldn't. But anyways, all my chapters from here on will be longer, or at least long enough to be able to even call them chapters.
