Ahsoka stood face to face with her former master. She had rushed back to Coruscant as quickly as she could possibly go upon hearing the news of the Jedi Temple being attacked. When she arrived, she was not expecting to be met with dead bodies littering the ground.

Even though she left the Order, this felt like she was just stabbed through the chest.

But as she gazed into Anakin's once-blue eyes, but now a piercing yellow, only a single word came to her mind, and she opened her mouth to speak it.

"Why?"

........................................................................................................................

Ahsoka yawned and sat up on her bed. She was currently in her quarters on board the Resolute. They were heading back to Coruscant after a mission that led them to Geonosis. That planet certainly didn't give her pleasant memories, such as the one of getting trapped under a bunch of rubble from a droid factory and nearly dying.

But even if she did die, she had Barriss. They hadn't known each other long then, but they formed a quick friendship almost as soon as they met. And almost ever since then, they've often hung out together. There were a few occasions where they even played a few pranks on their masters. Ahsoka had to admit it was mostly for Anakin.

But his reactions made it completely worth it, even though he did end up being completely ticked off at them afterward.

The Togruta yawned as she got to her feet. She was usually an early morning person, unlike her master, but today she felt awfully tired.

Though, she didn't know what time it was. It was pretty much always dark in space.

She shrugged the thought off as she quickly dressed into her usual clothing. Then, she headed up toward the bridge, where she knew Anakin would be located. She stumbled upon Rex on her way there.

"Hello, Commander. Where are you off to so quickly?"

Ahsoka looked up at him. "Hey, Rex. I'm just heading up to the bridge to talk to my Master."

Rex grinned. "I don't think he's in a very bright mood. I was just up there and he didn't say a thing to me."

Ahsoka chuckled and shook her head. "Well, I'm going to go bother him anyway. And maybe pester him about why he's in a bad mood."

Rex nodded and gave her a humorous smile. "Sure thing, Commander. Wishing you luck."

Ahsoka grinned and continued on her way toward the bridge. She spotted the Admiral and a few clones, then finally caught sight of her Master. He was stood at the windows, looking out into space. From here, she couldn't read his expression. So she stepped toward him with little caution. She was quite used to annoying her Master, even when he was in a bad mood.

"Hello, Master."

As expected, he didn't turn toward her or even acknowledge her for that matter. She stood beside him and looked out into space as well, stealing a few glances up toward Anakin.

His expression seemed neutral. His mouth was formed into a tight line, giving away the hint that he was, indeed, upset.

"Why are you so grumpy, this time?" Ahsoka inquired, turning toward him and raising an eye marking.

Anakin finally turned toward her and met her eyes, acknowledging the fact that she was present. Finally.

"I am not grumpy, Ahsoka," He grumbled.

Ahsoka cast a grin that pretty much spoke everything she was needing to say because Anakin just stared at her and rolled his eyes, then switched topics.

"We're almost at Coruscant."

Despite the fact Ahsoka knew he was just trying to avoid whatever was bothering him, she decided to just ignore it. For now. She would definitely pester him about it eventually.

"Finally," She said. "Can't wait to actually touch solid ground again."

Anakin lifted a brow at her. "We were just on Geonosis.."

She glared at him. "That doesn't count."

"Why?"

Ahsoka didn't answer but instead waited for Anakin to figure it out.

"Oh."

She grinned. "Took you long enough. I thought you were smarter than that, Skyguy."

"I'm smarter than you," He shot back with a wry grin.

"Not at everything," She smiled.

"At most things."

"So? I can be good at complicated things."

"That doesn't mean anything!"

"Yes, it does! I'm a good problem solver."

"You can be a good problem solver."

"Are you two bickering, again?" Obi-Wan stepped in behind them, crossing his arms patiently as he waited for them to turn around, which they did quite quickly.

"Oh hello, Master Kenobi," Ahsoka smiled sweetly.

Anakin eyed her with distrust. "We were not bickering. And first off, Ahsoka started it."

"And I was just about to head back to my quarters. Because suddenly I'm very tired," Ahsoka said with a menacing glare toward Anakin, who only returned the glare with a bit more force.

Obi-Wan pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed deeply. "I will never understand you two."

"I don't think you'll want to," Ahsoka replied before she began walking back toward her quarters to sleep. She paused for a second and turned slightly. "How can you even deal with him?" She clearly referred to Anakin.

Obi-Wan simply shook his head and chuckled. "Being honest, I'm not sure. I've barely been keeping myself from insanity.."

"Oh come on, Master. I'm not that bad," Anakin cut in.

"Oh, Anakin.." Obi-Wan muttered. "You are that bad."

The last thing Ahsoka heard was Anakin and Obi-Wan begin to argue before she got too far to hear them. She entered her quarters and sat on her bed, chuckling to herself slightly.

Though, she realized she underestimated her exhaustion. Because as soon as her head struck the pillow, everything went dark.
