It took a few days until they finally reached Coruscant and returned to the Temple, but the experience that Ahsoka just had definitely had an impact on how she slept. Anakin was almost constantly checking on her.

She sat on her bed, having just woken up by a nightmare. But it was different from the ones she usually had. This one was about her experience on their previous mission to Tatooine. But she knew that these were simply dreams because she had already went through that experience. But she kept thinking about what would have happened if Anakin didn't find her. And the man ended up--

No. She didn't want to think about that right now.

The door to her room slid open and Anakin walked in, gently sinking down onto the bed next to her.

"How are you doing?" He asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Ahsoka shrugged. "Fine, I guess. Had a nightmare.."

Anakin didn't even need to ask about it. Because it was quite obvious, describing what they just went through, to know what the nightmare was about. And he felt horribly guilty for letting her out of his sight at all.

"I'm so sorry, Snips.." He sighed, squeezing her shoulder. "I should have kept an eye on you.."

Ahsoka looked at him. "It's not your fault, Master. It was already too crowded as it was. I actually would have been surprised if we hadn't gotten separated at least once."

Anakin remained silent, but Ahsoka didn't miss the sad smile cross his face.

"You should tell Obi-Wan about this."

That got Anakin's attention. He looked up, gaze locking on to Ahsoka's. "I don't think that would be a good idea."

"Why not?"

"Who knows if he'll run off and tell the Council. Then they'll be lecturing us about the stupid code again."

"I mean, you never were one for rules, were you?" Ahsoka asked with an amused expression.

Anakin smiled. "I guess not."

"Do you even trust Obi-Wan?"

Her master looked a bit taken aback. "I mean, of course I trust him. Just maybe not with everything. He's on the council and he's lectured me before about the code. And I wouldn't do anything to break his trust."

"Well, you don't act like it that much," Ahsoka grinned.

Anakin rolled his eyes. "I do. I trust him with my life."

Silence, then:

"Do you trust me?"

Ahsoka blinked. "What kind of question is that, Master? Of course I trust you."

Anakin smiled. "I know you do."

........................

They were sent on yet another mission. Ahsoka wasn't surprised, but she didn't think she was ready to go on any more missions yet. Not after the last one..

But perhaps she needed a distraction. They'd be fighting some droids in this one anyway, which is something she found greatly distracting.

Anakin stuck close to her when they fought. Both of them cut down the droids with ease, the same with the tanks.

Her lightsaber cut through the droids with ease. The stupidity of these battle droids made her laugh. Of course, she doesn't remember meeting any droids that were actually smart. Except for R2 and C-3PO. If she even considered them droids. She considered them more as friends.

She did about 3 back-handsprings, barely avoiding blasts in the process. The Togruta then landed softly on her feet and reflected a bullet back at the droid, sending it to the ground in a heap.

Anakin watched her for a moment, but still continued to cut down his own droids. That was, until there was suddenly a large explosion that seemed to come from absolute nowhere.

Both of them spun towards the sound, and suddenly a wave of dust flew towards them. Through it, Ahsoka could spot shards of glass as well. They had to be careful.

"Ahsoka!" Anakin shouted amid the chaos.

"I'm here!" She shouted back in reply. Her hand flew in front of her instinctively to shield herself.

Then, there was another large explosion. She felt herself flying backwards, then everything went black.

...

Ahsoka woke up in pain. She groaned and slowly blinked open her eyes and sat up.

She felt fine, beside the giant headache she currently had. She gently placed a hand to her lekku, rubbing it slightly. "Ouch.."

Then, realizing what happened, she jumped to her feet and scanned the battlefield, filled with dead clones, for her master.

"Master!" She shouted, running through the entirety of the battlefield. She spotted him a short distance away on his side. He was clearly in much worse shape than she was.

"Master!" Ahsoka quickly ran over and dropped to her knees beside him. Blood was seeping through his tunic and he also had blood on his forehead, likely from a cut. But from what she could see she was unsure whether or not it was minor or severe.

Anakin looked toward her, placing one of his hands firmly on the ground to push himself upright. She lent him her hand, which he took and she pulled him up. Though, she was readily prepared when he stumbled forward and nearly fell back to the ground again. She caught him pretty easily.

"Hey, Snips.." He muttered, coughing into his free arm.

Ahsoka was leading him toward the ship, a hand on his chest and another on his back. She knew that, even without closer inspection, that his leg was broken. Or at least his ankle was. It was twisted at an odd angle and looked both incredibly painful and swollen.

"You need to stop getting beat up so much," Ahsoka said.

He only gave her a weak smile in response, then nudged her slightly upon sensing her worry. "'m fine..had worse."

Ahsoka gave a nonchalant chuckle. "Yes you have. But it doesn't hurt any less seeing you get hurt just so you know."

Anakin only shrugged his shoulders, wincing slightly and showing quick regret afterwards. "Like Obi-Wan says, I attract trouble wherever I go. I'm practically a magnet."

"Now that is true," She helped him up the ramp and sat him down. Then, they flew up to the Resolute where Anakin was quickly taken to the med bay to be treated. Though, she would have went to see him if he hadn't insisted she get some rest first.

He wasn't exactly wrong. But of course, she was still covered in cuts and bruises, so she quickly went to wash off before she stumbled back into her quarters and fell asleep instantly.

But her next mission, unbeknownst to anyone, would change everything.
