"Come back to our dorm," Siwoo suggested, watching Maru skip along the kerb.
"Looks like we have no choice," JR said. He smiled. "Thank you."
"We don't hang out enough," T.K chuckled, then continued his conversation with Baekho.
Ren climbed onto someone's wall and began walking unsteadily.
"Minki, get down!" Minhyun yelled.
"Can't catch me!" Ren cooed. He pretended to dance, but his foot slipped. In a whirl of arms and legs, he landed on Minhyun. "Ouch!"
"You're such a kid," Baekho scoffed, but he checked on then younger boy just to make sure.
At the front door, Kangjun realised he'd forgotten his key. "Knock," T.K urged.
JR took in a breath when he saw the boy who opened the door. Ray, half asleep and confused. Ray, the boy who'd been taunting JR's dreams.
"Oh, you're back," he said, suddenly breaking into a broad smile. He let them in, hugging Siwoo and ruffling Ren's hair - for which he received a death glare.
"Make yourselves at home," Kangjun said, throwing himself at the sofa and almost falling asleep there and then.
"Put the kettle on, Ray, please," Maru said, rubbing his eyes. He feel on top of Kangjun and tangled his limbs with the older boy's.
Siwoo followed Ray to the kitchen. "Your hair is sexy," he whispered, touching Ray's fringe gently.
Ray shivered at the touch, feeling his cheeks heat up. "How do you do this to me, Taemin?" He turned to the kettle and filled it from the tap.
As Siwoo hugged him from behind, Ray noticed how comfortable it was. Warm, sweet. And the proximity made Ray blush deeper.
It was amazing that the older boy actually liked him back. Ray had got the shock of his like when he found that his crush fancied him back, and when Siwoo had actually asked him out on a date. Love was a new feeling for Ray, but it felt comfortable and, well, lovely. He often worried that Siwoo was going to dump him, or wondered why he did actually like him. Why would someone as beautiful as Siwoo like Ray?
Ray pecked Siwoo on the cheek. It was the most they ever did, but Ray was contented. It was a little sign of affection.
JR, in the other room, touched his face, trying to calm the flush down. His face had turned red the second he'd seen Ray. The older boy had a pretty face. Nice eyes. Sweet mouth. And JR knew what the others would say.
JR sat awkwardly on the sofa arm. His legs felt a little shaky.
Not again.
He was not destroying his heart over someone like this. Ray was nice. Pretty. Not hot.
And JR definitely didn't want a boyfriend. Career. Focus.
Remember what happened last time.
