I didn't expect to fall in love

Part Two

C Clown put out blow-up beds for NU'EST, but there weren't enough. As JR settled down next to Minhyun, he felt the younger boy sigh.

"Minhyun, are you alright?" he whispered.

Minhyun smiled forcefully. "Fine." He buried his face in his pillow and began to cry.

JR glanced at Ray, whose room their mattress was in, before putting his arm around Minhyun. "What's wrong, Min?"

"Isn't it obvious?!" Minhyun wailed dramatically. "Aron!"

"I'm sure it's just a thing, not serious," JR reassured him.

"You like Aron?" Ray asked. "Er, there there." He rubbed Minhyun's back awkwardly.

JR jumped at the contact. Ray gave him a small smile.

"Min, I think you should clean your teeth and wash your face," JR said gently. Minhyun got up, glad of a distraction.

But then that left JR and Ray on Minhyun's inflatable bed. Ray, seemingly oblivious to JR's red face, took his hand and started playing with JR's fingers. JR sat completely still.

"Oh, sorry." Ray dropped JR's hand. "I didn't realise I was doing that."

"It's okay." JR found himself pressing his leg against Ray's. Ray's pyjamas were soft and his legs warm. And why were they staring at each other?

Siwoo walked into the room at that point to kiss Ray goodnight.

Later, JR would curse himself for not realising they were together, but for now he was happy.
