"Wait. What do you mean?" I said.

"Before everything happened Chloe and I, also the other scientists were experimenting and we found a way to "freeze" humans in a way where they will be preserved." Lizzy explains.

"And one day we were asked to shut it down, but Chloe didn't want to. She released the chemical into the air." Lizzy says.

"But if it was released into the air then why didn't you or any of us get affected?" I ask.

"Well, when I tried to stop her she locked me in that closet. Also, our research showed that the chemical only stays in the air for a limited time. So you all must have been inside." Lizzy says.

"How do we fix it?" Emily said.

"I'll have to get back to my research to figure that out, but I'll work as fast as I can." Lizzy says.

"So...can I go now?" Chloe asked.

"Do you not realize what you did?!" I yell.

"I do. I just don't care." She said.

I charged at her and tackled her to the ground. I started to punch her. Soon after Grayson pulled me off of her.

"Let me go!!" I yell.

"You're crazy!!" Chloe yelled.

"I'm crazy?! You're the reason why our families are brain dead. And to top it all off you're not even sorry about it!" I yell.

After a few minutes I calmed down. We decided to put Chloe in one of the rooms.

"I need some air." I say.

"Me too." Grayson said.

We walked back to the r.v.

Grayson and I sat down on the bed.

"You ok?" He asked.

"No. Everything is so messed up." I say.

"Yea, but Lizzy will find a solution. We have to stay positive." Gray says.

I turn towards Grayson and smile. For a moment we just stared at each other. His eyes looked down at my lips then back to my eyes. He started to lean closer. Then before I knew it he kissed me.

We pulled away and looked at each other. I smiled and pulled him back in.

"Out of all the messed up things that are happening. I'm glad I met you Hailey." Gray said.

"I'm glad I met you too." I said.

"We should go back in and see how their doing." I said.

Grayson nodded. He took my hand and we walked back inside.
