It was a gloomy day, the clouds covering the sky with their melancholy colors and threatening to release their tears that they have sucked up for far too long. Hardly anybody was out today especially this early in the morning. He glanced down at the clock on his phone, the time read 5:30 a.m. He laid his phone back down and sighed looking up at the bleak sky. 'Another sleepless night filled with restlessness and intrusive thoughts.' he thought to himself. It has been like this for the past three nights him trying to sleep, failing due to the fact that he couldn't stop thinking or get comfortable, so he always ended up on the roof a blanket sprawled out and a pillow so he could lay down. He always got like this right before a new school year started. 'Another year of no talking and trying to get by quite as possible.' he grumbled to himself. It's not like he hated school, he didn't, he just didn't like the aspects of getting up early and all the people in one small building. He had never been a fan of huge crowds filled with sweaty, hormonal teens. It just wasn't his cup of tea, not much really was. He wasn't into the normal teen things like going out with friends, of course he had to have friends first, he didn't go to parties or anything like that. He spent his time doing school work, reading, and playing games. A loud crack of thunder is what interrupted him from his thoughts. He huffed and gathered his things up and made his way back to his room. He checked the time and it read 6:30 a.m. it was time to get ready for school. He made his way to his closet and got out an old band t-shirt, some ripped jeans, and a flannel to wear over his shirt. He fixed his messy dark brown hair with his fingers. He looked at himself in the mirror, his grey eyes standing out. He was 6'0 tall and a little bit chubby. After making sure he looked somewhat presentable, he grabbed his backpack and headphones. He made his way downstairs grabbing a nutrient bar from the kitchen and grabbed his skateboard from beside the kitchen door. Before he headed out the door he made sure that his parents weren't up and to his relief they weren't. He made his way out the door and hopped on his skateboard once he got to the sidewalk. He put his headphones in and blared Benz Truck by Lil Peep and ate his nutrient bar on his way to school.
