Years passed and the now 16 years old Aki decided to leave the island just after ace and sabo left the island together while carrying his mother's katana that she left to him before she died by the hands of a crooked marine in one of her travels outside the island. Deciding to collect money first to have funds for his future ship Aki begun bounty hunting the evil pirates that terrorizes the islands and hunting crooked marines and collecting evidence of their evil deeds and announcing them to the citizens so when marines accuse him of defying the government he have enough evidence to let the government knows that he have blackmail materials so they would think twice before fighting him then Aki went to the lougtown to hire shipwrights to build his ship and then he build a computer room that controls the ship and its weapons before leaving the lougtown to enter the grandline. Aki then decided to go to Dr. Vegapunk to make him have his mother's devil fruit eaten by his ship and in exchange he would provide the blueprint of his latest invention that the marines have been eyeing for a long time. Vegapunk agreed and the exchange finished in two days after that Aki went to where the whitebeard pirates are to visit ace since sabo was recruited by the revolutionary and ace and his crew joined the Whitebeard yonko just a month ago.
