"Would you like a ride to school with me?"
Camden's Point of View
He looked up at me like I was crazy as h-e double hockey sticks. Like, wow, I knew I got stereotyped, but dang, I'm not a total monster!
Well, actually this one time I dressed up like one and came to school and-"Um," He started, breaking me out of my thoughts. "Sure, if you don't mind..."
"If I minded, I wouldn't have asked you," I sassily replied as he got up from his spot on the sidewalk and started walking to the passenger side of my car.
"Don't forget to put your seatbelt on!" I reminded him loudly, started the car up again. "This is gonna be a wild ride!"
It's gonna be a wild ride because we've only got 20 minutes left to get to school and I'm craving for Starbucks.
And of course, the Starbucks in our city is all of the way on the other side from my house. Cue straight face.
"Where are you going!?" The kid yelped, as I drove...well sped right past the school.
"Starbucks" I answered simply.
"You could have just dropped me off!" He yelled, annoyingly loud.
"Chill..." I stopped talking, realising I don't even know the dude's name. "What's your name again?"
"My name is Avrey, and I really don't want to be late again. The next late slip I get, I'm going to get a detention!" He exclaimed frantically, flailing his arms around all willy nilly.
"Everything is gonna be alright," I sung to him as I pulled up to the Starbucks drive through. "Would you like anything? I can tell you've had quite the rough morning," I asked him.
"I don't drink coffee," He replied, looking disgusted at even the thought of it.
"Coffee isn't the only thing you can get at Starbucks, you donut," I tell him smartly and roll my eyes at him. "I'm going to just get you some lemonade then"
"Hi, would you like to try our new Grande Caramel and Spice Latte?" The person speaking through the little box asked me politely.
"No thank you but I'd like to order one extra sweet lemonade and one vanilla bean frappucino," I replied just as politely.
"That will be $6.45 at the first window, thank you for ordering at Starbucks" The box person reciprocated.
"Hey, do you have change for $100?"
