*Olivia*
Running through the hallways of what I'm guessing is a school I look into each room. I am looking for someone, but I have no clue who it is I'm looking for.
Olivia.
Turning around I look to see who is calling my name but I see no one.
Olivia.
The voice says. A shiver runs down my spine.
I change from running down the hallway to sprinting.
"Is anyone there?" I shout hoping to find who is calling out to me.
Nothing. Not even a sound. It is deathly quiet. Too quiet.
I sprint down the hallway and take a sharp right. To my relief I see door that says exit. I hear my name being called again, not once but over and over again.
Olivia..Olivia...Olivia...Olivia.
Each time my name is being called the voice gets louder and louder. The voice seems to be from behind me. Turning around slowly I strain my ears trying to find where the voice is coming from. Slowly walking back to where I was before I see a door.
I have this feeling. The feeling in the pit of my stomach telling me not to open the door. Yet just as all of those stupid girls is horror movies I open the door anyways.
Stepping into the room it is pitch black. Lifting my arm up I slide my arm across the wall hoping to find a light switch.
My name is still being called but it's even louder now.
My hand feels nothing until it comes across something smooth. Warm. Something that sends sparks up my arm.
That is when I realize it's not a wall I'm touching.
It's a person.
I scream, which causes the person to put their hand over my mouth muffling my screams.
I breath in and smell something amazing. I stop screaming and struggling. For some reason I feel safe. I'm no longer scared.
Olivia. My name is whispered into my ear. I don't move or anything. Again my name is called but this time it's a yell. Everything in my vision becomes bright as if the light is being turned on.
Olivia!
This time I jerk up and into a sitting position.
It was all just a dream.
"Olivia if you don't get up this instant I swear I will come up there and dump ice water on you." My mom Linda yells.
Groaning I drop my head back down on my pillow.
"Mom I'm awake stop yelling!" I yell to her.
"Good. Get ready for school now and then come for breakfast!" Mom replies back but thankfully not as loud.
My eyes go wide. I completely forgot. Today is the day that I am finally going to school for the first time.
As crazy as it sounds I'm 17 and I've never been to a real school before. I've always been home schooled.
Jumping out of bed I ignore the freezing hard wood floors and I make my way out of my room into the bathroom.
About an hour later I walk downstairs into the kitchen having done my morning routine. As usual when I walk into the kitchen I hear my mom whistling while cooking.
I can smell that she made me my favorite foods.
Eggs with cheese on top with sausage links and toast.
"Morning mom." I say grabbing a glasses from the cabinet and then pouring myself and my mom orange juice.
"Oh perfect timing," mom says spinning around with a plate in each hand, "I just finished!"
After getting seated we both eat in silence. I try to savor the amazing food because I figure soon I will be eating gross cafeteria food. Ew. I really hope it's not like the cafeteria food on tv. It always look like moldy processed food.
Like seriously if they are going to serve chicken patties the least they can do is serve real chicken right?
"So.. are you nervous for the first day?" Mom asks snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Of course not!" I say with a big smile, which is completely fake. Inside I pretty much am a nervous wreck! I mean like I am going to school for the first time in literally forever and after seeing Mean Girls for the first time not even a week ago I am just hoping to God that there won't be bitchy plastic barbies.
"Good! Well then hurry up," mom says jumping up from her seat and putting her plate in the sink," I want to take pictures and then you have to leave."
Finishing my last bite of sausage I put my plate in the sink.
"Be right back!" I yell to mom running up the stairs to my room.
Right when I walk in I close the door so I can see myself in my full body mirror.
Looking at myself in the mirror I brush my hands fingers through my hair untangling the few nots.
I would have to say I'm pretty good looking. I have pretty strawberry blonde hair that ends a little bit under my breasts. It is naturally pin straight and never frizzy. Then I have big bright blue eyes that are surrounded my long eye lashes. My lips are a natural light shade of pink and are pretty plush. I never wear make up except for mascara but today I decided to just go natural. My figure is slim but has perfect curves. Im wearing reddish converse with a light pair of skinny jeans, and a tribal patterned tank top that ends at my belly button showing my tanned, toned stomach. Then to top it off I added a gold colored necklace.
Perfect! I think to myself grabbing my backpack and sliding my iPhone into my back pocket.
I jog down the stairs and go to the front door where my mom is standing with her phone.
"Picture time!" She says all excited.
Groaning I drop my bag at my feet and smile.
"You look great honey!" Mom says smiling at me and tearing up a bit. "You have grown up to be so beautiful! I just wish your father didn't have to go to work I know how much he would love to see you right now looking all grown up!"
After hugging for a minute I sigh.
"'Momm... I have to go or I'm going to be late!" I complain.
After wiping her tears my mom holds her phone up.
"Ok ready? 1 2 3!" Mom says before she takes at least ten photos of me.
Groaning I grab my bag.
"Bye mom." I say giving her a quick hug and head to my car as fast as I can.
After getting in I roll all the windows down not wanting to get heat stroke before even getting to school.
"Bye honey!!" Mom yells to me waving as I drive off.
Ugh. Now off to school I go.
