Confrontation

Dami woke up early from her penetrating anxiety. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, and Dami planned to have a fun weekend in California. After eating breakfast, she walked outside to get some fresh air before Alyssa woke up.

Of course, Chloe was outside also taking the beautiful weather as an opportunity to tend her garden. "Can I not catch a break...?" From Dami thought to herself looking at the neighboring house.

Dami noticed, there was another girl over there, Kassie. She assumed by the way she came out of the house, Chloe had a roommate. They seemed to have a nice place together, unlike casa de toucan. Dami enjoyed the breeze, and the warm Californian sun.

"Oh hey!" Chloe said as she stood up with a few weeds in her hand. She began walking over to Dami's house, and just like the countless times before, Dami searched for a way to avoid conflict.

"Hey, wait!" Chloe said, running now. Dami tried to open her front door but Chloe was already there. Chloe leapt forward, closing the door with her hands, that were now on both sides of Dami, pinning her to the wall. Chloe took a few short breaths before speaking, "Why do you always avoid me? Did I do something wrong?" She said, her face sad. Her breath smelt of fresh strawberries picked on an open field. And her eyes burned like the brightest stars in the galaxy. Dami couldn't look away, thoughts racing of unimaginable things. "Well?" She said, looking into Dami deeply. The intensity was overwhelming for Dami, as she realized she could feel Chloe's breath on her pale skin.

"I...." was all Dami could manage, as her eyes looked down at Chloe's lips. Before she could complete another thought, Chloe let off of Dami, returning her confident posture. She looked off to the side, still looking hurt.

"Well... if you didn't like me, you could have said it sooner," she said, as she walked back to her house. Dami slid her back against the door and sat down, defeated. "I do like her it's just..." Dami thought to herself.

"AYOOO DAMI WHERE'S BREAKFAST?" Alyssa yelled, as she opened the door, cashing Dami to fall.

"Hnnnng... maybe I deserved that...ow."
