It was a new day, and Dami was sat at the kitchen table staring outside her window. Alyssa was sitting on the floor beside her, petting the cat she found the day before. "Are you sure that things sanitary?" Dami asked, concerned. Alyssa continued playing with the cat on the floor. It had been two days since Chloe stood up to her, and Dami still wasn't sure what to do. Alas, she got ready for school.

The day was normal, but Dami couldn't help but feel an overwhelming feeling of guilt. After gathering her items to walk to her next class, she noticed Chloe hanging some photos up in her locker. "Oh... hey...." Chloe said quietly, noticing Dami's presence.
"Oh uh... hey...." Dami replied with a similar tone. Dami felt a beat of silence pass by as she looked over at her.
"Oh- These are photos of my old friend haha... we used to go to the same school before I moved. She still hasn't called me," Chloe whispered the last sentence under her breath, still audible enough for Dami to hear. In that moment, Dami felt conflicted. She wasn't sure wether to bring up the phone call she had the day before. She decided against it, got her things and met Alyssa in the hall.
"HEY DAMI I SAW YOU TALKING TO THAT GIRL AGAIN," Alyssa said, walking with Dami. Dami wanted to tell Alyssa about the call, Chloe, her feelings, everything. And she did. When Dami was about to walk outside the school, she noticed a small girl with a straw hat taking photos of beautiful yellow birds. Dami didn't know why such a simple sight caught her eye, but seeing someone doing something so simple, made Dami forget about her complex predicaments.
"AYYYYYY HI IM ALYSSA YOUR HAT REMINDS ME OF A PIZZA HAHA LIKE JIMBO'S PIZZA," Alyssa ran over to the girl, waving her hands. Dami felt embarrassed as she ran over with Alyssa.
"B," the girl said looking up at the two. Dami could tell that the girl was socially awkward, and would rather be left alone. After a few moments passed, the girl ran away without saying a word. Dami watched curiously, then grabbed Alyssa as they went home.
