Ava was right. We got to the place quickly and exactly at 8: 00 PM we went to the bar.
There are a lot of people in the room. Along the way, not only we decided to gather to celebrate the arrival. In the farthest corner, someone waved at us.
We walked quickly to the table.
There were 4 people sitting behind it. Two guys and two girls. Jacob sat down with a girl and put his arm around her. Ava noticed this, and I saw a slight sadness in her eyes. I don't dare speak, I was embarrassed. A guy in a black t-shirt and leather jacket, covered in tattoos, sat and stared at me appraisingly. The girl sitting next to me started:
- Hi! Are you Ava's new roommate?
I nodded and introduced myself.
-Beautiful name.
This was said by a guy I didn't know sitting near the window.
The guy in the leather jacket chuckled.
Ava introduced them all: the guy sitting next to the window was Jason, Victoria was next to him, Jacob was hugging Addison, and the one staring at me was Noah.
"You want a drink?" Victoria asked.
"What is it?"
I was seated at a table directly across from Noah. He keeps looking at me. Very awkward. It's a good thing no one notices.
My fear is gradually fading. The guys were fun. We chatted and drank. I was glad that Ava had pulled me out of the Dorm and brought me here.
Suddenly, Noah, who has been silent all this time, says:
"Where did you get that ugly shirt?"
I was offended. I like this shirt very much and it is not ugly in any way.
"A normal shirt," Ava says.
- No
At this point, my phone comes to life. It's my mother calling. Heck! I forgot all about it after I arrived at the University. She must have been worried the whole time.
And I run out of the bar so my mother won't hear the rods and the music.
"Hello," the Voice of my mother disturbed.
"Hello, mom." Hi. I'm sorry I didn't call. I completely forgot.
-Nothing. Everything okay?
I told my mom about the Dorm and Ava... Should I say I'm in a bar, not in my room?
Decide not to talk and then she starts to lecture me about the fact that it is not necessary to go to a bar with strangers.
"Okay, mom. I'm going to bed. I need to get some sleep before my first day of school.
"All right, good night."
Forgive. I don't like to lie to my mother. But now it was necessary.
"Are you lying to your mother?"
I abruptly turn around. This Is Noah.
"What do you care?"
I think that if I answer in his style, he will fall behind.
"Nothing," he said.
I notice his eyes. They are brown, almost black. Wide nose, nostrils go wide. His lips are full.
Noah saw that I was looking at my lips. He smiled and took a step forward.
"What are you doing?"
We look at each other in silence.
"This shirt doesn't suit you." he breaks the silence.
"Well, what then?" I ask.
-My t-shirt.
What? Did he say that, or is this my wildest fantasy?
"What?"
"I'm saying you'd like my t-shirt."
I'm in a stupor, I can't say a word.
He leaves.
"Can you explain yourself?"
He ignores, just walking to the Parking lot. As he gets into the car, he shouts
"See you tomorrow!"
