"HEY KID! GET BACK HERE!"

You ran through the alley, your legs pumping as fast a ten year old's legs can, the thundering of footsteps behind you. Reaching the end of the alley, you turned around your e/c dragon-like orbs meeting the cruel black ones of your pursuer. Clutching the piece of bread to your chest, you shrunk against the cold stone wall, closing your eyes as you braced yourself for the expected blow, when suddenly you heard yelling coming from in front of you. Looking up, you noticed police officers running down the alley towards you and the man in front of you. You didn't know what to do. Getting scared, you transformed into a dragon, the size of a large dog and started flying away, the piece of bread forgotten and left in the alley. "It's the dragon girl!" you heard one of them yell. "The one that's been terrorizing the citizens around here lately!" "Terrorizing"you thought to yourself. "More like they can't seem to handle a little starving dragon simply borrowing some food." You pumped your wings faster, trying to  gain altitude. Once you were high enough, you grew to the size of a small trailer. Wheeling around, you glanced down. There were cop cars everywhere, and all of the cops had their guns pointed straight at you. Seeing the cops made you panic and you tried to breath fire at them. That's when they started shooting. You noticed that the bullets being shot at you had fluffy red things on the ends of them. "Must be tranquilizer darts." you thought to yourself. Turning back around, you started trying to fly away as fast as possible, but you felt several bullets hit. Starting to feel sleepy, you started falling. Last thing you felt was the feeling of some- no, several things wrapping around you, and the pain of being somehow forced out of your transformation.

The Next Day

Waking up, you looked around, noticing you were in an unfamiliar room. It seemed to you that you were in a hospital room, as to the room being all white. You looked over to the side of the bed, and saw a bouquet of flowers on the nightstand. "Hmm" you thought to yourself. "I wonder who brought those." Pondering the question, you jumped when you heard the door open. "Ah! You're awake!" an unfamiliar voice said. Standing in the doorway, was a nurse with some other people you couldn't quite see standing behind her. "These are some people who will be finding you a new home where you can be safe and learn to use your quirk safely!" Stepping aside, the nurse let two men into the room, one with black shoulder length hair who looked like he hadn't slept properly in weeks, and the other was a blonde who had long bangs hanging down over his face. The blonde man looked like he was kinda sick, and you noticed that when he was walking into the room he was coughing a bit. "I'll just leave you three to discuss this little girls future living arrangements." the nurse said leaving the room. The black haired man sat down on the side of your bed, and the yellow haired man sat in the chair by your nightstand. The black haired man began talking to you. "Hello. My name is Aizawa Shouta and this is Toshinori Yagi. What's your name?" "Y- Y/N" you sid shyly" "We are teachers from U.A. High. We are here because we heard of your quirk." "I'm sorry!" You interrupted. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone! Please don't lock me up!" "No! No!" The man named Toshinori said. "You have it all wrong! We aren't here to take you away, we are here because we want to help you control your quirk. With the proper training, you could become one of the most powerful heroes ever!" "But my quirk is so dangerous." "Have you ever heard of the pro hero Eraserhead?" Aizawa said. "Yes but I don't see how this is relative... OMG! You're Eraserhead?!?" Toshinori chuckled. "Very perceptive there Y/N. I'm surprised you even knew of Eraserhead. He's more of a vigilante hero." "I used to sit in front of the TVs at the electronic store. I would always watch the news whenever the heroes were on TV. All Might was always my favorite." you said. "Well then you obviously know of Shouta's quirk then. He has offered to take care of you, and if your quirk ever gets out of control, he can cancel your quirk so you don't hurt anyone." "I-I would like that." You whispered. "I've never actually had a real family before. I used to live in an orphanage, but when my quirk developed, I accidently hurt one of then kids. The people at the orphanage called me a monster and would lock me in my room and not let me come out ever. So I ran away and have been living on the streets ever since." "I will never let that happen." Aizawa said. You looked up with teary eyes."Thank you Mr. Aizawa." Reaching over to hug you, he said "Just call me Shouta." Toshinori smiled. "We'll be here to pick you up tomorrow morning. In the meantime, rest up and get better." Getting up to leave, Shouta looked down at you and smiled. "Don't worry. We'll get your quirk under control."

Once they left, the nurse came back in and and gave you dinner. As you fell asleep, you wondered what your life would be like now. Everything was changing, and you weren't sure if you were ready or not. Thinking back to when you lived on the streets, you remembered how every day was a game of survival. "Living with a pro hero is something not all kids get to do." You thought. "If I have a good place to live and a person to look after me, I'm sure it will all turn out right."
