Finally after over a week part two! Hopefully y'all will like it. It's a lot longer than the first part but does end happily.
After that day things had gotten more tense. Addison had admitted her feelings and Dixie had just sat there. It had made the older girl feel even worse about everything, that even a confession wouldn't get Dixie to love her back. She'd figured it was hopeless and that the two were forever going to be stuck in this weird tension filled area of their relationship. The others noticed it too after all. Being in the same room meant intense eye contact and stares when the other wasn't looking. It was quite obvious something was going on.
"Hey" Dixie looks up from her phone as Charli enters her room. "What's up?" She asks calmly. Her sister offers a smile as she sits on the bed next to her. "Just wanted to talk." Dixie frowns at that. "Is something wrong? Did someone say something mean to you?" She felt herself get angry and ready to defend her younger sister but Charli simply shook her head. "No no, nothing like that. It's actually about you." She explains. That was not what Dixie expected. She eyes the girl for a moment before sighing. "If you want something from me just say it." She rolls her eyes even though she's aware she'd probably end up doing whatever Charli asks of her.
"What's up with you and Addison?" Dixie freezes. She doesn't mean to but she didn't think her sister would notice the tension. Charli must know exactly what she's thinking as she adds. "Everyone kind of noticed but didn't want to ask. And well, I'm your sister so I figured you'd at least tell me?" She seems nervous as though she's thought about it a lot. And Dixie doesn't even know how to answer this. She's dating Griffin anyways. It shouldn't matter what's happening with her and a friend. "Nothing." She should really elaborate but she can't think of how to, it's not like she really knows what's happening.
"You're a terrible liar. Did you guys fight or something?" She's pushing and Dixie wishes she wouldn't. "I wouldn't have exactly called it that." She mutters. Her mind thinks back to that day. They had remained on the floor with Dixie holding her for what felt like hours. "So something did happen!" Charli gasps out. She scoffs at her antics. "No, nothing happened and you guys should stop thinking about it." With that Dixie stands and starts to head for the door. "Wait!" Charli stumbles out of the bed. "Where are you going? This conversation isn't over." Dixie rolls her eyes again. "Yes it is so I'm leaving."
Charli thankfully didn't question Dixie again. But that didn't mean the others stopped wondering about the situation. That night would only make things more tense as they decided to swim again in the pool.
"Addison's swimsuit looks cute, right Dixie?" The younger girl grins at her sister. Dixie hates that her cheeks heat up at the question. "It's alright." She mumbles. Charli rolls her eyes at her again. "Will you two please just talk. You're both clearly miserable without each other." Dixie glares at her before standing. "I told you it was nothing so I'd really appreciate it if you'd stop bringing it up." She doesn't mean to raise her voice and she instantly feels bad when she sees Charli frown. The others are glancing over in confusion and Charli gets up too. "Listen it's not my fault that you can't just communicate correctly. So don't get pissed at me for trying to be helpful." She snaps. She then huffed before going over to Avani and the others.
"You good?" She turns to see Griffin standing behind her. She sighs before walking over to him. "I'll have to apologize to her later." She hugs him as he holds her back. "She'll forgive you. Siblings fight all the time." He says with a shrug.
Across the pool Addison can't help but to stare at the pair. She knows it isn't right to be jealous but she really can't help it. She wishes it was her that Dixie would come to after a fight with Charli. That she would hold her and say it's okay. She finally tears her eyes away as Charli walks up to her.
