In first year on the train ride Sirius was sat alone in his own compartment having a nervous breakdown. What if he wasn't sorted into Slytherin? What if he was? Remus was looking for a compartment and found him sitting alone. Eventually Sirius fell asleep with his head on Remus' shoulder, but he didn't mind.
