On one stormy day, there was a lightning bolt. No one paid any mind to it,except  children and dogs. It was just another terrifying flash of light, accompanied by the huge booming noise of thunder. Nothing to distinguish it from the others. But this one lightning bolt held much more than electricity. This lightning bolt held magic. And this lightning bolt, perhaps by destiny or just by luck, struck the very tree that the four children lay under. Four dead children who were were not dead anymore.

Christopher sat up with a jolt. Or he tried to. His head hit a hard surface and although his eyes were open,he could not see anything.Panicking,he hit  the hard surface over and over again, but no dent was made.In his hysteria, he shouted, “Help!”,and a great noise and a flash of light began. He yelled louder, for his small and cramped chamber was caught aflame! His cries died down as he realized that his flesh was not melting off his skin and the fire seemed to concentrate its entire being on burning off his wooden prison. As he calmed down and began to wonder what was happnening,he heard a high pitched cry coming from right beside him. it was Marina!

She wailed and cried,”Mommy” as Marina realized that she was alone, stuck in a wooden box that seemed to have no thought of letting her out. Then something brushed her side. It was her beloved doll, smiling right next to her. Marina laughed, and she heard a small plop the next moment. It was her yarn knit doll, being pushed through her arms by the powerful force of water.”Mommy!Daddy!” she yelled,in her panic as the as the water level was rising! “Marina!” a voice called. It was Amos. “Amos!” she cried as the water ran over her head. She gurgled and fought,as her lungs slowly ran out of oxygen. At last, Marina could stand it no longer, and gasped. Water tickled her lungs as she filled her brain with oxygen. The water was still rising, and as it did so, a lid appeared on her wooden chamber, and that lid opened. The water's force must have pushed it open! Gasping, she climbed out of the chamber and clutching her doll.

As soon as she ook a look around she saw another one of the wooden chambers covered in flames, yet the area around it had not so much as a spark on it! Marina backed away, when the chamber burst apart and a bewildered Christopher sat up. They stared at each other. What had just happend?

Meanwhile,Amos was struggling to get to Marina. She has his youngest sister, and all his insincts screamed to help her. But he found himself trapped inside a wooden chamber. Even as he struggled,Amos could not help but notice that the wooden box was cheaply made. Why would he be put in such a easily broken case if someone wnated him trapped?
