1. the mama incident -it's not unusual for bts and elaine to be at the same award show. even way before their relationship began, jungkook had a habit of looking in elaine's direction. -however, not only was MAMA 2016 iconic for being the year bts won their first artist of the year award, but also because of this incident. -elaine had been one of the last few performers and was set to perform her latest song. but due to the fact that it was one of the biggest award shows of the year, she had prepared something extra. -the choreography for her song and dance break was not only a bit suggestive, but she had also switched the positions of the female and male dancers, having a woman be her partner. [like what sunmi did with gashina hehe] -during her performance, jungkook could not stop staring. in the beginning, his lips had twitched up into a smirk, gone as fast as it came. fancams captured his eyes trailing up and down her body, until he finally realized where he was. -keep in mind, this was way before their relationship actually began. so once they had gone public (in the future), this quickly became an iconic moment, showing how much jungkook was interested in elaine before everything.
2. namjoon's slip up -we all know how namjoon has a habit of accidentally spoiling things, this doesn't exclude elaine and jungkook's relationship. -namjoon had been doing a v-live with jimin and they were just talking about random stuff, answering questions along the way. -this occured in 2019 and went unnoticed by fans, except those who shipped elaine and jungkook before knowing the truth about the two. -they were on the topic of jungkook and how busy he was lately when namjoon slipped up and began to say, "yea, el- um.." then, quickly played it off like he was thinking of what to say. -at the same time jimin perked up, making eye contact with namjoon. jimin had never changed a topic so fast and the v-live ended a couple minutes later.
3. jungkook in elaine's video -in the beginning of 2020, elaine opened up her own youtube channel. she began to post vlogs every other week, showing fans what her daily life looked like. -(set in the future) as the public became used to the fact of them together and fans were more accepting, the couple started to slowly be comfortable. the two decided that they would stop trying so hard at hiding their relationship. -at first it was subtle things, like pictures of the two in the background of her studio and apartment. -then, sometimes jungkook would be the person filming her. occassionally, his hands would make an appearance. -fans loved seeing them together and finally being comfortable to share moments with them.
