Teenage is like a trailer of your adult life. If you make the trailer good, there are more chances that the movie would be good.
You get a very short teenage life to live. In this, you understand what's the feeling of having butterflies in stomach; your emotions are always at its peak.
It's the life I cherished, I regretted, I laughed, I cried, my heart raced, my heart broke.
If you put every aspect of life in a tumbler with 4-5 cubes of ambition and give it a good shake - the resulted drink is 'Teenage Mojito'. Enjoy it!!
After completing my middle school, high school was waiting for my red carpet entry. I wanted to go to the one where my friends were going, but my mum insisted to go to a different school.
I said "just give me one good reason why I should leave my few friends that I managed to get along and go to a different ambience."
She said mockingly, "one, huh! I'll give you thousands. The Songoomh( the school which my mum wanted me to go) is one of the best Seoul has. Its so hard to get in there but with your grades, they would rather welcome you. It focuses more on studies and it....."
"Ok ok!! I'll go", I said.
Yeah, I had to stop my mum because at this rate the Songoomh's would hire her as their brand ambassador.
Focus on studies she said, well no matter how much focus you give; the apple won't turn pink.
But who new my whole world was about to change!
The month of march, marked my journey in the Songoomh. The icy wind penetrated my rosy red jacket that I wore over my uniform, it dared to touch my black wavy hair and move it; it was my first day.
Dad dropped me, as according to him it was a special day for me.
As I was going to unlock my seat belt, he stopped me, lifting my weighed down head said, " see what dad got for you."
It was my favorite choco cupcake!! My eyes shimmered as I hurriedly took my first bite.
"Now ready! Go and show who's daughter you are.", he said encouraging me.
Well, it indeed lifted my mood. After asking the staff, I reached my destination, my class.
I was preparing myself to sit at a corner desk when I heard someone calling me,
"Hey there! Yeah you American".Yup, that's been my summoning phrase all the time.
It always made me feel like I'm an alien so, I had already made up my mind that this time, I won't let this happen!
Keeping my bag with a bang, I turned back sharply but was baffled, and stood there.
They weren't calling me.
There was another girl, straight blond hair, blue-eyed, another American just like me, and I thought where she was the whole time? was she in Seoul? How come I've never seen her..... and many more till I brought myself back to the class.
I shouted from my place, "hello everyone! I'm Olivia Doris, living in Seoul since I was six. Hope we hold a good relation, and this is my friend..." I looked at her.
"Oh uhm... I'm Emma... Emma Scott. Hope to be good frie...." she had to stop as our teacher entered.
After the formal intro we had a free class. All this time, my brain was running through my memory lane searching for 'Emma'.... 'Emma Scott'.
I was sure, somewhere my ears have heard that name, somewhere my eyes have seen those blue eyes, somewhere......
But before I could think further, I saw Emma running towards me, hugging me till I almost choked."Oli... Oli!! How you've been? Such a long time! OMG!", she said with a broad smile that couldn't be more broader.
'Oli', she calls me Oli. Wait, no way! Its Emma.... My childhood friend from Chicago!! Oh my days! I almost cried, all my childhood memories(the few which I remembered) rolled before my eyes.
After controlling our over whelming emotions, I asked "Emma, how come you are here?", to which she said what my mum said 9 years ago - 'Promotion'. But now that word didn't feel bad anymore.
"Do you remember your Tyy.... Tyler Wilson.... Yeah he is here too", Emma said.
Again it took me a couple of minutes to search for him in my mind and while I was filtering my memory, I saw a boy, pretty tall, muscles beautifully carved, dark brown hair, his hair colour matched his pupil's colour, carrying a bag pack was walking towards us.
I could instantly smell his colonge when he came ; it was a nice one.
"Hey guess what!! This is our Oli!!",Emma exclamed.
There was a sudden shine in his eyes. "Oli is that really you! That's awesome. How you've been all these years?", Tyler asked without a pause.
"Hi Tyler, I've been good", I replied.
But suddenly his shinning eyes changed and suspiciousness took possession of them.
By the ending of the free period, I've met my two old acquaintance but I couldn't be that much happy about it as they were. One by one, all the teachers came and gave their intro, until it was recess.
The trio went to the canteen, where many eyes glimed at us.
Emma and Tyler were amazed at my chopsticks skill. After having our meal, on the way back ; I spilled my cappuccino on my shirt.
Struggling through the crowd, I managed to find the washroom and straight away went in to clean the stain. Until then, everything was normal. I was muttering until I saw in the mirror, a tall figure coming out from one of the section.
I tried to look clearly and when I saw, my heart stopped!
A boy, tall, black messy hair partially covering his forehead, his black eyes were so deep that I was unconsciously falling into them, soft fair skin with a healthy pink glow, splendidly carved muscles.
As he came near, I could smell his cologne ; must been an expensive one.
He was an American, I guessed. It gave me a strange joy, he looked like.... like..... Wait!! He's a boy. A boy!!!
What's he doing here?
I turned towards him and asked, "what are you doing here, you'll get into a big fuss!"
He looked at my eyes, that were widened enough and said calmly, "the one who would fall in a fuss is you.... It's a boy's washroom...."
Hearing this much, I literally flew myself out from there. I didn't tell Emma about it.
The school got over.
I rushed out after saying byes to Emma and Tyler, and saw my dad waiting for me.
At dinner, I said to mum and dad about Emma and Tyler.
It was strange that even my parents were so happy about it. Can anyone just tell me what the hell is wrong with me!
But as I was getting irritated, my witty brain eased me by reminding me that as I don't remember much about my childhood days ; I didn't missed them at all and so they were like new known people whom I hardly remember.
As it was the first day, so I had no homework. I threw myself on my bed and thought about this crazy day.
Met so many Americans today.
Met Emma, Tyler and..... that guy. His thought gave me again a strange happiness.
I replayed the washroom scene again and again in my mind till I fell asleep.
