Derek wanted him to meet the pack. Which would have been fine..if he had told Stiles before bringing them over. He had woken up around midday in a still warm but empty bed. After very little debating he had gotten up, properly dressed and gone downstairs to find Derek and maybe get a good morning kiss.

This idea was quickly stumped as Stiles walked into the cost living room to find not only Derek but about 7 other people, including the guy he met yesterday..Peter. The guy practically spewed sarcasm and cocky-ness. He could probably have some banter with him..
But back on topic Stiles had 8 pairs of eyes just staring at him, Derek with a slightly guilty look and Peter with his usual smug look. The other 6 pairs were just plain staring at him, practically trying to look into his soul. Some eyes looked at him with disbelief, some with indifference and some with interest. He wasn't sure how to feel about all of this or respond to it. So he did the first thing that came to his mind.
"Well..hi...people of the living room..uh I um..I-I didn't expect people here- not that it's not nice to meet people kinda..I-I'm just gonna go make food..in the kitchen...by myself.."
Yeah, Stiles could probably do with a brain to mouth filter or learn to think before he spoke.

And he went into the kitchen. By himself. God damn it he was going to kill Derek. Speaking of the muscled man he had just walked into the kitchen, not looking at Stiles directly but in his general direction.
"I..I'm sorry I didn't tell you..I thought you'd say no and I just..I really wanted you to meet them.." His husky voice sounded so hesitant and apologetic..it struck a slight cord with Stiles.

He'd always been the one apologising, always the one who had to say 'sorry' but..Derek saying sorry for something he really wanted to do with Stiles just felt..wrong. He didn't have to introduce him to his pack but he wanted to, that meant he didn't want Stiles to be a dirty little secret..he wanted him to stay, for a long time it seemed. That..that felt amazing. It felt right..and he wasn't going to blame Derek for that.

"It's fine..could've done with a warning but it's..it's fine.." Plush lips curled up into a shy smile and was rewarded with a hesitant one back from the other pair. Once again it seemed gravity pushed them towards each other as strong arms encircled a slim waist and soft hands found broad shoulders. A soft rosy cheek found purchase on a firm shoulder as rough lips found a place in chestnut soft hair.

A clearing throat interrupted the couples tender moment in what Stiles figured was a pattern in this house. A lanky 19 year old was hesitantly peeking his curly pale brown haired head out of the corner in the most adorably fashion, in Stiles' opinion anyway. The lanky boy's hands rubbed awkwardly at the back of his own neck as his soft, meek voice addressed the embracing pair in front of him..
"Um..sorry for interrupting but everyone's getting a bit worried and kinda..really wanna meet your mate Derek.."

Cheeks grew warm as they realised how long they'd kept everyone waiting, so to solve that they all walked back into the cosy furnished living room. The first one to address them was a blonde haired, blue eyed short skirt wearing girl who's lip-stick painted red lips curled into a smug smirk upon seeing their rosy cheeks.
"Nice catch Derek." The same cocky-ness seemed to be reflected by Peter, a strawberry blonde girl and another boy who looked fresh out of a male fashion magazine.

After some awkwardness introductions were made. The strawberry blonde girl was named Lydia, extremely intelligent and sassy. The fashion magazine guy was introduced as Jackson, Stiles didn't really like the guy too much but he preferred not to make a judgement just yet. The shy 19 year old who had unfortunately interrupted the couples little 'moment' was Isaac, who despite the meek domineer he was actually quite sassy himself..Stiles definitely liked him.

The other were just as varied, Derek's pack was mixed with all different types of people yet they all got along like a family. Scott and Stiles quickly bonded over their love for the geeky and quirky and Boyd was quite the conversationalist when you actually got him to talk. That was the pack..and Stiles loved it.

The whole afternoon flew by in a flash with movie marathons and board games, which Stiles clearly won no matter what Lydia said, everyone was happy it seemed. But would it last?..

As the pack left begrudgingly Stiles couldn't stop smiling, he'd never felt so happy to be around people in his life. Everything felt like a dream..but he didn't want it to end..
So when warm, comforting arms wrapped around his waist and a broad chest pressed against his back Stiles melted...and let himself enjoy it..
