On Sunday I woke up and ran down to the dining hall. I was late again! Noooo! Everyone was seated and just about to eat. I ran to my seat and sat down as if I had been there the whole time. " Today is Sunday, so we are holding an auction and I expect everyone to follow the rules and look your best," Miss. Ancorbe announced. Loads of moans and groans came from the girls. Two large rulers where whacked on the table to bring back everyone's attention. Two men came around the a much smaller ruler and checked if our back where straight and if they weren't the men would take the girls to a special room called room. 953. He went past me and once again it wasn't straight! Damm I was really hungry... I walked over to the room with 8 other girls. We all had mortified looks on our face.
When we reached the room a really young girl tried to get away but both men picked her up and placed her on the stool first. The steps of the back straightener where quite simple.
1. Step on the stool
2. Place the corset on
3. Tighten it
4. Place metal bar around upper back
5. Tighten.
And that's really it. Not to bad.
When we were done we where all sent to our rooms to get changed into our uniforms.
We where: underwear, corset, pinafore, stockings and lace up black boots.
