I do not play volleyball or basketball and there's no team of any sport at my school, so if there's something wrong, sorry.

YOUR POV

I woke up because of my alarm. Fucking Tuesday. I grabbed my uniform, changed my pijamas and run downstairs. My mum had prepared my coffee but she had already left for work. After breakfast, I run back upstairs, brushed my teeth, grabbed my school bag and left.

I caught the bus to school and sat with my best friend, Sofia. "Hey, today we've got practice, right?" I murmured to Sofia because I was still half asleep.

"Yeah, well Karen said she had a surprise for us this week and I hope there's food involved." Then, I remembered when Karen told us that last week, she was beyond excited.

"Ooh, right. I also hope there's food but I believe there won't be any, Sof." And she cleaned her fake tears. We both got off the bus and walked to school.

Sofia and I were together in the volleyball team of our school, we became friends there. The whole volleyball team was an amazing group, we were all friends and got along very well, even though there were still best friends among the girls, like Sofia and I. We mostly spent time together in practice or lunch and outside school occasionally. But we were not the typical popular volleyball team, nah, the popular girls are the cheerleaders of the basketball team. But none of us really care, we had fun together, we went to parties together and most importantly we respected and trusted each other (which obviously did not happen among cheerleaders). I felt very content with my friends. Also Karen, she was our teacher and she was amazing, probably because she was very young and she also understood us.

Sofia and I had almost every class together that day. After biology, we walked together to have lunch with the girls. We sat down at our usual table and chatted. Until, I stopped the conversation. "What do you think Karen's surprise is?" I asked.

"Um, I hope she allows us to play all practice and not run around court and do squats and push ups." We all laughed at Robyn's laziness and shrugged off the topic.

When our classes finished, we walked to our changing room with our clothes. When we practiced, we did not wear our usual game uniforms, but we wore something similar, like booty shorts and sports t-shirt. After changing our clothes, we walked to the court and Karen was not there. "You want me to put some music?!?" Robyn screamed from the bleachers. And some of the girls shouted back a yes. Suddenly, Cry for Me by Camila Cabello was playing very loud through Robyn's speaker. We grabbed a ball and began passing it around, hitting it strongly and high all around court. That was what we would usually do when Karen was not around and later, when she arrived, she would be mad at us for playing music so loud. But we had way too much fun to just stop doing it.

We had been playing for ten minutes when Sam threw the ball at me but it was way too high and I could not catch it. It flew over me and I turned around to pick it up. But I stopped on my heels because the whole fucking basketball team, their coach and Karen were standing up behind me. After I few seconds, Robyn had stopped the music and I walked over to the guy that held the ball. Ruel had the ball in his hands. I had had a crush on Ruel for the past two years, so it was embarrassing walking over to him to get the ball, I did not even look at him in the eyes, I just reached out my hands, he handed me the ball and murmured 'thank you'. I turned to Karen and waved my hand. I awkwardly turned around and walked over to Sofia red as a tomato. I was blushing and I did not even talk to him.

"Hi, girls." Karen greeted us happily. "Remember last week I told you I had a surprise? Well, this is Finn, the basketball team coach. And we thought it was a good idea to deal with team work together because Finn believes the basketball team needs to work on that aspect and he believes you girls work great together." What the heck?!? What? I mean, why?
