SPADES WAS WOKE TO THE SUDDEN BLINDING light of his room. He stirred awake, rolling onto his bed. He rubbed his eyes, lazily opening his eyes. Marcus had flicked his light on, standing in the middle of his room. "Put on some draws, come to Daves. Hurry." Spades yawned and continued to rub his eyes, he glanced at his clock.

3:35am

He grunted and rolled out of bed. Anissa left around 2am, she should be down near Syracuse or Buffalo. He adjusted his briefs, throwing on a pair of plaid pajamas pants. He dragged himself through the living area, past his kitchen and through the hall into Daves and Anissas shared room. In the living room, Marcus, Tonya, Dave and Lucks were huddled together. Tonya stood out, her outfit not being sleep attire but regular clothes. She must have just gotten back after hearing the news, Spades thought.

"What? Piru?" He played coy.

"Anissas gone." Dave spoke. "What do you mean gone?" Spades asked. "We went to bed, everything was fine. She was fine, then I rolled over and she was gone. We checked everywhere." He said. "That's not all." Lucks said nervously. There was a flush, then the bathroom door opened.

The guy looked familiar but he didn't exactly know where he seen the guy before. "This is June. He was riding with me and Mickey, before we became part of the union." Dave explained, tapping June's back. Mickey, Daves right hand. The man Anissa had killed. "He's going to help us look for Anissa. The Union meeting is in two days. Anissa has to be there before everything falls apart." Tonya spoke.

"For what its worth? We need to get all the sleep we can, ain't no help looking for her if you half sleep." Spades said.

______

Spades groaned when he felt Dee move from underneath him. He rolled over and stared at the clock. 3:49am. He quickly shut his eyes in relief when he heard Dee explain. "Gotta pee." He muttered something in response. Spades fell asleep within seconds. What woke him up again wasn't Dee nuzzling under his arm. It was the empty space in his bed. His eyes sprung open. He stared st the clock and his eyes nearly fell out of his head. 5:07am. He stood up from the bed and left the bedroom, towards the bathroom. The light was one, toilet fresh. Confusingly he shut off the switch and headed back into the living area.

He froze. The door was wide open. Dee no where in sight. He hurried to his bedroom and swung open his bedside drawer. He took the pistol out from the tiny box and headed to his closet. He pulled out a tiny black box that consisted of different colour and sized silencers. He took the quietest one he owned. After screwing it in properly he left his apartment in nothing but his boxers and a wife beater. The door across from him was open. Lucks and Dave's room.

He quietly moved into the room, waiting his gun. The living room was empty, bathroom too. He entered the bedroom. Spades raised the gun to the mans face at the same time it was held to his. "Lucks? Shit. I thought you was fucked up!" He huffed as they both dropped their guns to their side. "Nah man. I heard someone licking my lock. I grabbed my gun and was waiting right here for them. But they never got in." Spades cursed, gripping his gunfighter. "That's cause they got to Dee first." As Lucks was about to say something, a bulb went off in Spades head. His hand shot yo and covered Lucks mouth. "Your door was open." Lucks was visibly panicked. Then, footsteps were heard.
