Note: So...this fic is really dark but it really helps me. I have gone through severe trauma from my mother. So long story short, I wrote this to help me vent.

Radiant Garden was a beautiful place to live.

The streets were made of white marble and there was gardens of flowers everywhere. You were taking a gentle stroll among the castle walls watching as the sun set. The sun painted you in vivid colors that felt warming to your skin. The night would soon grow cold, but you wanted to enjoy the atmosphere well it lasted.

You were wandering around the outer property gardens of the castle, at that point the public was allowed to wander by. There was a stone fence that wrapped around the boundary of the castle where people liked to take selfies with the castle as the background or just sit and rest. Surprisingly there was very little people--especially on such a beautiful night.

You scooped in the back of your dress and gracefully sat down. The stones were cold and rough against your soft skin, a light layering of moss and lichen in patches across the wall.

The sun was to your left warming your face, the air calm and quiet with only the splashing of water from the fountain and the occasional couple passing by. You just sat there, letting your mind gather inspiration.

But why was it that this time you started feeling a lump in your stomach?

It wasn't a physical lump, it was more of that harsh feeling that something wrong was going to happen. The longer you sat the more you felt sick. The sun slowly lowered until it was just a tiny sliver of orange peeking over the hill of trees. The air was growing colder and you'd rather head inside before it could truly get cold.

Just as you were about to stand you heard your name being called. Your head swiveled around, your eyes darting across the area to pin point who had said your name. Was someone calling for another with the same name? Your eyes momentarily settled on Dilan and Aeleus, the two silent but kind guards were far, but seemed to be heading your way.

Your name was called again and this time you were able to pin point the voices to being to your left, the opposite of the two guards.

Your eyes scanned the area again until they settled on a couple stepping towards you.

Your heart dropped.

You felt all the blood drain from your face as they stepped closer. Your brain was screaming at you to run, but it was too late as they hurried forward with "polite" grins.

Them.

Your mother and her gross disgusting molester of a boyfriend. The one who you sent to jail after...after...the incident. Panic built in your veins causing your muscles to violently spasm with the need to run and hide.

Run to the two guards who were still coming your way completely unaware of the possible danger you were in. Your heart was painfully pounding against your sternum like it was trying break out of it bone-prison.

The lump in your gut turned solid and seemed to be slithering up your throat.

"Hi sweetie!" Your mother greeted, the gentle smile on her face sickeningly sweet since the scowl you last remembered.

Her screaming blames at you for having to get the law involved. Her words of guilt stabbing into you violently shredding your fragile confidence.

"C'mon, just dress in this for me! It's supposed to be a family gathering, you need to dress nice or else you'll be a disgrace."
