❝ Never let me down,
just lead me home
Don't tell me this is
all for nothing
I can only tell
you one thing
On the nights you feel
outnumbered
Baby, I'll be out
there somewhere. ❞

the next morning

I woke up to the sunlight that comes through the bay window.

It touches my face softly warming it.

My eyes open slowly to get used to that light.
They move around the room and stop next to me, watching Riley resting.

I touch her quietly and she starts to move.

Easier then I thought.

She wakes up.

«Good morning Riles!»

«What do you want?» she asks nervously.

«Oh— well, we have breakfast with our friends, we have to say goodbye, remember?»

«Oh, yeah right» she stands up quickly.

I open the last drawer where my emergency clothes are and put them on.

They don't match my actual style, which is now awesome by the way, because they are old but they are cute.

«We can go!» I confirm and Riles open the door for me.

I smile at her and we walk to Topanga's.

It's not a long walk and I talk with my best friend all the way to the location.

I stop Riley before we can walk through the door of the café, «What if they ask questions about him?» I ask preoccupied because of the answer I won't know.

«If they will, ask something you decide if you wanna answer or not!» she tells, comforting me.

«Hi!» we greet our friends.

They all hug us and I smile at the affection they're giving us.

«I will miss you all!» Riles says and I nod and smile.

«And you Maya, won't you miss us?» Farkle asks.

«Yeah, whatever!» I say sarcastically.
