"I love you. I love you" he whispered in my ears while leaving me small kisses.
His words are music to my ear. Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. Niyakap niya pa ako ng mas mahigpit at napasubsob ako sa matigas na dibdib nito. Naiilang pa rin ako sa kanya knowing we are naked under the sheets but somehow, I felt comfortable and loved.
"I promise to be the best husband for you. Hihintayin kita"
He lifted my chin so that our eyes could meet. His beautiful brown eyes sent shiver to my spines. I could feel my heart beating fast as he slowly touched my cheeks. I feel like my heart is about to burst, I would forever treasure this moment. The moment I gave myself to the man I love, my husband. His eyes moved toward my lips and he kissed me right away.

Napalikwas ako sa pag tulog sa doctor's lounge ng tumunog ang beeper ko. My annoying beeper! and that means may emergency or a patient that needs me. Marahan akong tumayo at tinali ang buhok ko. Huminga muna ako ng malalim at tinignan ang orasan ko. It's 2 in the midnight. Atleast nakatulog ako ng dalawang oras ng hindi umiinom ng sleeping pills. I am a pedia doctor in a hospital here in New York. After akong nag graduate nag apply agad ako ng residency.
"Doc Maine, Doctor Franco is looking for you" Nurse Jenny stopped in front of me habang hawak hawak ang mga gamot sa kanyang dalawang kamay
"Okay, where is he?"
"He is in his office Doc" I smiled before walking towards Doc Franco's office. He is a senior doctor and the head of mine. Napaka-istrikto niya and he hates me.
Parang alam ko na kung bakit ako pinatawag. Nagkamali na naman ako. Saan na naman? Where did I do wrong again? Binasa ko naman lahat ng report ng mga nurse and hindi ko na alam. Nanginginig ang aking kamay habang nasa harap ako ng pintuan ni Doc. Gusto ko na lang umalis pero hindi dapat. Hindi pwede. I took a long breathe before knocking and entering.
His office is huge. May sarili rin itong sleeping area. Doctor Franco was reading a report habang hinihilot ang kanyang sintido.
"Doc, I heard you were looking for me" I asked slowly. Inangat niya ang kanyang ulo at tinapunan ako ng matalim na tingin bago tumayo at hinampas sa lamesa ang report. It produces a loud bang that made my heart beat fast. I started shaking.
"Are you even a doctor? Why are you so stupid!I thought you were one of the smartest in your class! How could you give a wrong medicine to the patient! Knowing the medical records of the patient is the most basic thing to do! The patient has an asthma Salvador! You gave him a medicine that triggered his asthma and worsened his state! You are a stupid doctor!" napalunok ako sa mga sinabi niya. Totoo naman. I am stupid! I looked down to my nails.I bit my lips and did my best to swallow back all my tears. Palpak na naman. Ang bobo mo kasi Maine.
Huminga ito ng malalim at marahang tinanggal ang glasses nito bago nagsalita muli
"Do you even know what you are doing? I saw your records during med school and you did well Maine, so tell me, why are you being lousy and stupid doctor?!" I could feel every pang of all the words his spitting to me straight to my heart.
"Im sorry Doc" those were the words i could only utter
"Sorry? There is no room for mistakes Maine! YOU ARE A DOCTOR NOW MAINE! THE LIFE OF THE PATIENT LAYS IN YOUR PALMS MAINE" galit na galit si Doctor Franco sa aking harapan habang patuloy na tinuturo ang kanyang kamay. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang mga maiinit nitong mga mata. Gusto ko ng umalis at umiyak na magisa. Nanginginig na ako sa takot at hiya sa kapalpakon ko. Narinig ko itong humniga ng malalim at nagsalita ulit, ngunit ngayon ay mas mahina na.
"Can you even call yourself a doctor? Maine, this isn't the first time you did this. Instead of healing and helping a patient, you are killing them!"
