Chapter 2.

Marcus's POV-

I looked down to the clearing below me and saw him. He was small, like dad is. But he had dirty white fur. Mud coated patches of his fur. He looked shaken up.

The warriors circled him, ready to pounce. A growl erupted through the air. It shocked me even that it came from me. The warriors looked up and at me. Each bowed their heads as I climbed down the Cliff.

The wolf, my mate, shook as he leaned against the tree for support. I shift and took the shorts papa held for me. I knelled in front of him. I smiled softly, running my fingers through his muddied fur. He whimpered at the contact.

"Shift," I whispered as an order.

His bright green eyes met my hazel. Pain laced his eyes as he shifted to his human form. He curled his knees to his chest as he looked up at me. He had long dark hair, that hung infront of his eyes. His eyes big and green. He was slim and looked so fragile. I was scared to touch him.

"I'm gonna take you home with me. Whats your name beautiful?" I asked softly.

"Alex." He whispered.

"I'm Marcus Alex. And I'm going to protect you from now on. Can I carry you?" I asked

Alex only nodded. I lifted him into my arms and he curled into my shoulder. He was so light and so skinny. My wolf whimpered at the size of him. It wasn't normal for us to be this normal. I turned to look at papa and my beta Max.

"I want the perimeter checked now. Take two groups. One north and the other south. I need to get Alex home and warm to see the Doctor." I ordered.

Papa had a big smirk on his face as he turned to max and split into groups. Dad looked at me with loving eyes as we climbed the cliff.

"Whats that look for?" I asked with a grin.

"I knew one of you would be gay." He laughed.

Alex's POV-

His arms were strong and protecting around me. Marcus is his name. He said I would never find a mate. But look at him. He is. I thought my wolf was gone forever. But when this god like creature came down the cliff he was there and live again.

Marcus carried me for the longest time, until i felt him going up steps. I looked out just a little to see a door coming into view. Then I saw a house. His house. Someone opened the door and he carried me up more stairs to another door.

Inside he placed em on something soft. A bed. I whimpered at the lost contact. He chuckled and placed a kiss on my head.

"I'm only getting you some of my cloths Alex" Marcus chuckled

The way he said my voice made me feel alive again. He went to his closet and pulled out sweatpants and a shirt. Then he pulled out boxers from his drawer. He helped me into them and sat next to me on the bed.

Marcus kissed my forehead and slid me into his lap. I curled into him like I was just a few minutes ago. I felt him smile against my head.

"I'm glad your here now Alex. Nothing is going to happen now. I'm going to keep you safe. I accept you as my mate Alex"
