Jaelyn Renee Finley, also known as Jae by her friends and family. She just recently turned seventeen and she had just gotten emancipated. She even graduated from high school after a year of home schooling. Jae isn't your normal teenage girl. She has been living in the Schnacky home since she was eight because she was in a bad homing situation with her family. Calling the Schnacky parents Mom and Dad has become second nature. She has nothing but love for the Schnacky family. She even gotten close to their five kids, but she's ready to be on her own.

Deckard Shaw started to become Jae's love interest. Deckard grew up with his two siblings and was close them both. When his younger brother started fights with the toughest kids or stole, it was Deckard who finished the fight and took the blame for the thefts, enduring their father's belt as a result. That's how Jae was when her younger Schnacky sister was, but Jae never got punished. She was praised for standing up for her siblings. Deckard caught her eye when she saw him in Florida. He doesn't realize that this girl would become the center of his attention.
