As soon as we got into class everybody looked our way, turns out running down the hallways didn't even get us to our class on time.

"Monica! You're late again." The teacher snapped at her. Well, I guess her name was Monica.

"Yeah, I am. Sorry about that." She said sarcastically. "But at least I have an excuse this time."

"And what is that?" The teacher asked curiously.

"I had to show the new kid around the school. He didn't know where anything was and I had to show him, hence why I came in late." She said with sass.

"And where is this 'new kid' you speak of."

I stepped out from behind her back and waved to the teacher, "Hi, I'm Landon. I'm new here obviously." I said with a small chuckle.

"Ah, there you are. Well Landon, you and Monica can go have a seat in the back before we start." She said with a fake smile.

As soon as she said the words, "American History" I knew I would absolutely hate this class. At my old school I would alw- I was snapped out of my trance when the teacher said my name. "Landon!" "Yes Mrs.?" "I asked what caused the start of WWI." She said with a smirk. "It was an assassination." I said with the same smirk, causing her to get irritated. Monica stifled a laugh beside me but ended up completely snorting, (very loudly, might I add) causing the class to start laughing as well.

After the class calmed down, which took about 10 minutes, the teacher continued to talk about nonsense while I zoned out yet again, thinking about completely irrelevant things. Like how much this school is different from my last one, if anyone suspects anything weird about me. God I hope no one does. I moved here to get away from my past, not bring it back up.

I zoned back in right as she started clapping her hands, "Alrighty kids! For this assignment you will be working with the person sitting next to you." I mentally cheered. "Now, you will need your electronics and go on the line-"

"Quick interjection," I said. "When you say 'on the line', you mean online?" I asked, making her irritated once more.

"Yes," she said through gritted teeth, "I mean online."

To say I was nervous was an understatement, hundreds of eyes were on me as I walked into the lunchroom. Suddenly Monica came up to me and started pulling me somewhere, I started to ask where we were going but she just shushed me and kept pulling. I decided that fighting back was useless and just let her drag me.

We ended up a couple blocks away from the school, behind some building. I was going to question where we were, but then I saw who I'm assuming were her group of friends. They almost all were either wearing leather jackets, black shirts, black pants and had cigarettes.

She smiled when they saw them, but then, as though she remembered something important, she stopped right in her tracks. "Do you smoke?" She asked, turning to face me.

"No, but I can try." I said completely lying to her face.

She seemed to buy it. She continued to pull me to her friends with a smile in her face. "Wait, what about school?" I asked her. "We'll just skip the rest of today." She said with a shrug.

I'm starting to like the whole "Bad girl persona".

She greeted them with a hug/handshake each. Then she looked at me and said, "Yo! Everybody listen up! This is Landon, he's new. I didn't want him hanging out with those preppy bitches so I brought him here. Please treat him like you would treat me. That is all." She said laughing.

She pulled me over to her and introduced me to them then she grabbed some cigarettes and offered me one, "Want one?" She asked. I pretended to be hesitant but then took one. "Sure." I said.

"Now, do you know how to do anything with a cigarette? Like tricks or something?" She asked me with an eyebrow raised. "Not really, sorry." I said with a sheepish look on my face, even though I knew all too well my way around a cigarette. "Haha it's okay, I'll show you." She said with a glint of excitement in her eyes. "Okay." I said agreeing.

"First I'm gonna teach you how to French inhale. You have to inhale the smoke and then open your mouth and inhale through your nose, I know it sounds complicated so just watch." She said giggling. Ugh.

She French inhaled and I swear to god it was the hottest thing I've seen her do since I got here. She blew out and then told me it was my turn. I messed up the first time to make it seem like I didn't do this before. "It's okay, just try again, and again until you get it." She said to me.

This time I did it a little better but it still wasn't as good as hers.

This time I decided I was done playing games and just did it. Perfectly, may I add.

She just stood there. A smile creeping up on her face. "YOU DID IT!!!!" She screamed happily. I laughed as well and took another drag. She then told me to try and blow o's. So I did. Again, perfectly. I then heard her say, "Damn the new kid's got some skill everybody!!" They all looked at me and told me to blow o's again, so I did. Apparently I was somewhat good because they all started saying things along the lines of, "Damn, you sure he's never done this before Monica?"

I smiled to myself, honey you've got a big storm coming.
